Tulasi Srinivas ‘Winged Faith: Rethinking Globalization and Religious Pluralism through the Sathya Sai Movement’

Tulasi Srinivas is an assistant professor of anthropology at Emerson College and is the author of the book “Winged Faith: Rethinking Globalization and Religious Pluralism through the Sathya Sai Movement” (448 pages, 18 illlus., ISBN: 978-0-231-14933-4). Tulasi Srinivas’ book “Winged Faith” has been publicized on the internet and through Columbia University Press with the following summary:

The Sathya Sai global civil religious movement incorporates Hindu and Muslim practices, Buddhist, Christian, and Zoroastrian influences, and “New Age”-style rituals and beliefs. Shri Sathya Sai Baba, its charismatic and controversial leader, attracts several million adherents from various national, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. In a dynamic account of the Sathya Sai movement’s explosive growth, Winged Faith argues for a rethinking of globalization and the politics of identity in a religiously plural world.

This study considers a new kind of cosmopolitanism located in an alternate understanding of difference and contestation. It considers how acts of “sacred spectating” and illusion, “moral stakeholding” and the problems of community are debated and experienced. A thrilling study of a transcultural and transurban phenomenon that questions narratives of self and being, circuits of sacred mobility, and the politics of affect, Winged Faith suggests new methods for discussing religion in a globalizing world and introduces readers to an easily critiqued yet not fully understood community. (Reference)

Prior to the publication of “Winged Faith”, Tulasi Srinivas presented her research on the Sathya Sai movement in a lecture and two abstracts entitled:

  • “The Body, Sex and the Democratization of Transparency: Rethinking Religion and Globalization through the Sathya Sai Movement”
  • “The Truant Ascetic: Transcendence and Escape in the Transnational Sathya Sai Movement”
  • “Building Faith: Religious Pluralism, Pedagogical Urbanism, and Governance in the Sathya Sai Sacred City”

As one can see, a more ‘neutral’ title was chosen for Tulasi Srinivas’ book.

For those unfamiliar with Sathya Sai Baba, it would appear that Tulasi Srinivas’ convoluted observations about the Sathya Sai movement are well thought out, impartial and well researched. For those who are familiar with Sathya Sai Baba, however, Tulasi Srinivas’ book “Winged Faith” is poorly researched, highly biased and heavily relies on “former followers” ‘anti’ internet material against the Guru.

To obtain a better understanding of the flaws and failings in Tulasi Srinivas’ book “Winged Faith”, it is best to read the “Notes” section first and then see how Tulasi Srinivas attempted to further and formulate various arguments using those notes.

The ‘Notes’ Section In ‘Winged Faith’ By Tulasi Srinivas

The “Notes” section in “Winged Faith” is very important because it reveals how poorly Tulasi Srinivas researched her information about the Sathya Sai movement, especially in relation to the controversial material about the Guru. Tulasi Srinivas conducted her research into the Sathya Sai movement from early 2001 through late 2009, interviewed Sathya Sai devotees, communicated with former followers of Sathya Sai Baba, made trips to Sathya Sai Baba’s ashram, attended various Sai Centers and made various updates to her book before its 2010 publication.

In the “Acknowledgements” section in her book (ix, x), Tulasi Srinivas said she presented portions of “Winged Faith” to the American Anthropological Association meetings in 2004 and 2005, the South Asia meetings at Madison, Wisconsin in 2004, the Society for Psychological Anthropology meetings in 2005, the American Academy of Arts and Science, the Institute for Religion and Culture at the University of Virginia and the Institute for Human Sciences, Vienna, in 2001.

Consequently, Tulasi Srinivas is no novice to the topic of Sathya Sai Baba and her tattered research cannot be attributed to unfamiliarity with the Sathya Sai movement. The following references were taken from the “Notes” section in “Winged Faith” with critiques and comments made by Gerald Moreno.

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 74; Page 373: Tulasi Srinivas claimed the link http://www.saibaba-aclearview.com/contents1.html was removed from the internet. The link, however, is operable and was never removed from the internet.

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 48; Page 372: Tulasi Srinivas stated that Joe ‘Gerald’ Moreno is a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba. Moreno is not a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba and this information was published on Moreno’s official FAQs Page in early 2005 (just after Moreno first got involved in the Sathya Sai controversy and created a FAQs page). It remains unknown where Tulasi Srinivas obtained her disinformation about Moreno being a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba.

Although Moreno runs the largest internet websites exposing the many smear campaigns waged against Sathya Sai Baba by critics and ex-devotees, Tulasi Srinivas never attempted to contact Moreno even once although she cited links to his websites. This glaring fact would seem to imply that Tulasi Srinivas was keener on obtaining ‘anti’ material from former followers rather than obtaining ‘pro’ material from Moreno.

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 33; Page 371: Tulasi Srinivas selectively referred to Keith Ord’s allegations of “hugging and genital fondling” against Sathya Sai Baba. However, all other relevant information and details about Keith Ord’s allegations were purposely withheld.

In 1992, Keith Ord (who is openly a homosexual) was interviewed by a Dutch journalist named Piet van der Eijk for an article entitled “De Wonderdoener”. Keith Ord personally claimed that Sathya Sai Baba literally and miraculously transmogrified his penis into a vagina by clapping his hands over his head! Keith Ord made it very clear that Sathya Sai Baba was not a “hermaphrodite”, but that the Guru literally and miraculously turned his penis into a vagina by clapping his hands.

Although Keith Ord talked to Alexandra Nagel about the alleged events in his private interviews with the Guru, he never told her about the amazing (and quite frankly unbelievable) ‘penis-turned-vagina’ miracle that he related to Piet van der Eijk.

If Tulasi Srinivas revealed this information about Keith Ord to her colleagues and students, there is little doubt they would all laugh her out of Emerson College. It is safe to say that academics, scholars, college students and general readers would not likely accept Keith Ord as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement.

Of course, the question remains: Why did Tulasi Srinivas accept Keith Ord as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement?

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 28; Page 371: Tulasi Srinivas claimed that Sathya ‘Satch’ Purcell alleged he was “sexually abused” by Sathya Sai Baba. However, all other relevant information and details about Sathya ‘Satch’ Purcell’s allegations were purposely withheld.

Satch Purcell (real name “Sathya Sai Purcell”) claimed after fourteen years of silence that Sathya Sai Baba “covertly grasped” his groin in the presence of his mother while entering the interview room at the Guru’s ashram. Needless to say, Sharon Purcell (Satch’s mother) never mentioned (in her letters to Glen Meloy) that her own son was inappropriately touched by Sathya Sai Baba (nor were any other ex-devotees aware of this information). Satch Purcell kept his allegation a secret for fourteen years until after the death of his mother (even though she was vehemently opposed to the Guru).

Satch Purcell’s entire “sexual abuse” allegation against Sathya Sai Baba is comprised of the following one sentence: “As I stepped into the room, Sai Baba held the door open and pressed his other hand firmly into my groin area and in a very concealed way.” So “concealed”, in fact, Satch Purcell’s mother did not see the event even though she was standing right behind him. The alleged contact only lasted a few seconds and this one sentence documents the entire act of alleged “sexual abuse” that Tulasi Srinivas mentioned in her book.

It remains unclear how many people would actually consider the alleged account of Satch Purcell to be “sexual abuse”. Is this information irrelevant to the allegations against Sathya Sai Baba? Tulasi Srinivas seems to think so as she purposely withheld this information from her readers.

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 28; Page 371: Tulasi Srinivas claimed that Ullrich Zimmermann alleged he was “sexually abused” by Sathya Sai Baba. However, all other relevant information and details about Ullrich Zimmermann’s allegations were purposely withheld.

Ullrich Zimmermann is a New Age follower of Ramtha (an alleged 36,000 year-old entity as channeled through the psychic medium JZ Knight). Ullrich Zimmermann originally recalled his alleged experiences with Sathya Sai Baba while drunk at a Ramtha wine ceremony and after the 36,000 year-old entity commanded him through JZ Knight to “teach Sai Baba a lesson”. Ullrich Zimmermann described his experiences with Sathya Sai Baba as “white tantra” and explicitly stated (several times) that he was NOT sexually abused and his experiences were an “honor” conferred upon him!

Ullrich Zimmermann also claimed that Sathya Sai Baba instantaneously cured him of a long-term breathing ailment by materializing oil and applying it to his chest along the “kundalini line”.

And to top it all off, Ullrich Zimmermann actually claimed that Sathya Sai Baba literally and miraculously transmogrified his penis into a vagina (and vice versa) twice simply by snapping his fingers! In addition, Zimmermann also claimed he saw a flash of white light fly out the Guru’s penis! These are the ludicrous (and quite frankly unbelievable) stories that Tulasi Srinivas apparently needed to withhold from her readers so that her smears against Sathya Sai Baba would be more believable.

Furthermore, Robert Priddy (a former follower heavily referenced by Tulasi Srinivas in her book “Winged Faith”) alleged that people who believe in psychics and channelers belong to the “lunatic fringe” seen in cults, ashrams and new religious movements (Ref).

If Tulasi Srinivas revealed this information about Ullrich Zimmermann to her colleagues and students, there is little doubt they would all laugh her out of Emerson College. It is safe to say that academics, scholars, college students and general readers would not likely accept Ullrich Zimmermann as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement.

Of course, the question remains: Why did Tulasi Srinivas accept Ullrich Zimmermann as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement?

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 28; Page 371: Tulasi Srinivas stated that “Ulrich Zimmermann’s account was originally videotaped and put on YouTube in mid-2006 but was removed two months later”. Actually, Ullrich Zimmermann’s accounts were first released in December 2006 on Blip.tv and in January 2007 on YouTube and they are still online and have never been removed from the internet (Refs: 0102). It would appear that Tulasi Srinivas failed to update this information from 2006 although her book was published in 2010.

Notes; “Illusion, Play, And Work In A Moral Community”; Reference 17; Page 364: Tulasi Srinivas cited Moreno’s website but misspelled his “saisathyasai.com” domain as “sathyasai.com”.

The correct link is:
http://www.saisathyasai.com/baba/Ex-Baba.com/A-Priddy/robert-priddy-deception.html

Tulasi Srinivas published the link as:
http://www.sathyasai.com/baba/Ex-Baba.com/A.Priddy/robert-priddy-deception.html

Since Tulasi Srinivas double-checked the links she published in her book (even claiming that various links were removed from the internet), one is left to wonder why she misspelled the link to Moreno’s webpage about Robert Priddy. Would it have to do with the fact that Tulasi Srinivas heavily relied on Robert Priddy’s ‘anti’ material against Sathya Sai Baba?

Robert Priddy (a caustic critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba who once hailed the Guru as God Incarnate) is an LSD Advocate who has falsely and fraudulently libeled Gerald Moreno as being “molested sexually” by Sathya Sai Baba (Refs: 0102030405). Robert Priddy also endorses and allies himself with Reinier van der Sandt, the ExBaba webmaster who has similarly libeled Gerald Moreno as being sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba. If Robert Priddy has the temerity to publicly disperse falsified and fraudulent “sexual molestation” libels against Gerald Joe Moreno, what other falsified and fraudulent “sexual molestation” libels is Robert Priddy peddling against Sathya Sai Baba? Even more disturbing is Robert Priddy’s brazen acts of screencap fraud, pseudo-moralism, DMCA deceit, disgusting lie about Joy Thomas, ridiculous proxy IP accusations, fraudulently impersonating an official Sathya Sai Organization domain, and the laughable Sheila-Waring lie.

This is the type of con artist that Tulasi Srinivas deemed credible and reliable enough to cite in her book “Winged Faith” against Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement (see 361:43; 364:17; 364:25; 370:6; 371:24; 372:49: 376:20).

Notes; “Illusion, Play, And Work In A Moral Community”; Reference 13; Page 364: Tulasi Srinivas claimed “the Sathya Sai Organization uses the concept of leela fairly freely to describe the queue system and other organizational systems at Puttaparthi”. Tulasi Srinivas supported this absurd argument by saying that some Sathya Sai devotees believed the queue and other organizational systems at Puttaparthi were “leelas” (page 165). The Sathya Sai Organization has never made the claims that Tulasi Srinivas attributed to them. Tulasi Srinivas uses the terms “Sathya Sai devotees” and “Sathya Sai Organization” interchangeably although they are not the same and often makes blanket arguments against the entire Sathya Sai Organization based on the views of a few Sathya Sai devotees. This type of generalizing and false association is intellectually dishonest.

Notes; “Deus Loci”; Reference 5; Pages 358 & 359: Tulasi Srinivas made several profound errors about Robert Taliaferro Brooke (a former follower of Sathya Sai Baba and a fundamentalist Christian).

Tulasi Srinivas said, “One could argue that Tal Brooke was a spiritual tourist for the twenty odd years he was a Sathya Sai devotee.” In actuality, Tal Brooke was a Sathya Sai devotee for about four years, not “twenty odd years” as erroneously and falsely claimed by Tulasi Srinivas.

Tulasi Srinivas also claimed that Tal Brooke wrote “several books about the wonders of Sathya Sai Baba”. When Tal Brooke was a Sathya Sai devotee, he wrote a manuscript entitled “The Amazing Advent”. Sathya Sai Baba did not bless Tal Brooke’s manuscript and it was never published. Tal Brooke never wrote “several books” about the “wonders of Sathya Sai Baba”.

Tal Brooke published his first book (which was critical of Sathya Sai Baba) in 1976 under the title “Lord Of The Air”. It was republished in 1979 as “Sai Baba, Lord Of The Air”, renamed “Avatar of Night” in 1982 with a reprint in 1984, was renamed “Lord Of The Air: Tales of a Modern Antichrist” in 1990 and reprinted again as “Avatar of Night” in 1999.

Therefore, where exactly did Tulasi Srinivas obtain her complete disinformation regarding Tal Brooke? It baffles the mind that an academic and scholar like Tulasi Srinivas would publish such blatant distortions of the truth although she conducted nine years of research into the Sathya Sai movement (in which Tal Brooke figures prominently as a critic since 1976).

Notes; “Becoming God”; Reference 66; Page 358: Tulasi Srinivas referenced Kyra Kitts (a former follower of Sathya Sai Baba) but omitted all relevant information about her.

Kyra Kitts had her own website (“kyrakitts.net”, which is no longer online) for close to five years in which she solicited herself as a psychic, clairvoyant and spiritual healer who could perform in-person and long-distance healings. Kyra Kitts claimed to have been “overtly psychic since approximately age eleven” and claimed that H. H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche began appearing to her in inner visions and spoke to her in Tibetan. She also claimed that Sathya Sai Baba appeared to her in a semi-awake/semi-asleep vision that radically changed her life.

When Kyra Kitts visited Sathya Sai Baba in India, she claimed being tormented with “bizarre sexual thoughts”, even in the Guru’s presence. Kyra Kitts claimed that while walking by the meditation bench behind the mandir, she psychically perceived Sathya Sai Baba “in his room masturbating, looking out his window, and laughing at the crowd”. Kyra Kitts said that Sathya Sai Baba looked like a “Fijian gorilla” and referred to the Guru as “Sai Bob, sex cowboy”. Kyra Kitts has/had numerous, chronic, physical ailments that affected her mentally (admittedly) for many years.

If Tulasi Srinivas revealed this information about Kyra Kitts to her colleagues and students, there is little doubt they would all laugh her out of Emerson College. It is safe to say that academics, scholars, college students and general readers would not likely accept Kyra Kitts as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement.

Of course, the question remains: Why did Tulasi Srinivas accept Kyra Kitts as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement?

Notes; “Becoming God”; Reference 24; Pages 353 & 354: Tulasi Srinivas cited Kevin R. D. Shepherd as a “biographer of Shirdi Sai Baba”. Kevin R. D. Shepherd is a vanity self-publisher who admitted he is not an academic and who admitted he dropped out of school at the age of fifteen. Kevin R. D. Shepherd is also a malicious critic of Sathya Sai Baba who has ridiculously accused the Guru of being “closely allied with terrorists” and who fanatically accused Moreno of being an “internet hit man” and an “internet terrorist” (Ref). This is the type of person that Tulasi Srinivas deemed credible enough to cite as a reference in her book.

Notes; “Introduction”; Reference 25; Page 349: Tulasi Srinivas attempted to malign a music group devoted to Sathya Sai Baba named “Lightstorm” and claimed they were “controversially named”. Tulasi Srinivas supported this argument by saying, “A former devotee indicated that Lightstorm was a kind of marijuana.”

A simple two-second Google search for “Lightstorm and Sai Baba” takes one directly to Lightstorm’s official website (which provides their email address).

Moreno emailed Lightstorm on June 23rd 2010 and asked them if there was any truth to the rumor that their name was chosen because it was associated with marijuana. On June 24th 2010, Moreno received an email that stated:

“Dear Atmaself, Joe – No TRUTH in that at all. The name came as a vision and then an actual lightning storm right after. Whoever told you the lie is crazy! I (Johnima) never took drugs of any kind, this body does not even like or take aspirins. Love & Light – Lightstorm ”

Why didn’t Tulasi Srinivas extend two minutes out of nine years of research to contact Lightstorm about the story behind their name? Why would an academic and scholar publish rumors and gossips if not with an ulterior motive to smear and malign?

On the official White House and Drug Policy website one can find an exhaustive list of street names for marijuana. “Lightstorm” is not included in the list although “Bubble Gum”, “African”, “Airplane”, “Astro Turf”, “Babysitter”, “Broccoli”, “Christmas Tree”, “Flower”, “Garbage”, “Giggle”, “Hawaiian”, “Northern Lights” and “Red Cross” are.

Moreno found a marijuana reference for Purple Lightstorm, which is also known as “Purple Cannabis” and “Lightstorm BX1”. Needless to say, the music group Lightstorm did not name their group “Purple Lightstorm” or “Lightstorm BX1”.

Would Tulasi Srinivas accuse the national Red Cross of being “controversially named” because “Red Cross” happens to be a known name for marijuana (with that name being listed on the official White House and Drug Policy website)? Apparently so.

It is exactly these types of shallow, trivial and mean-spirited jabs that call into question Tulasi Srinivas’ alleged ‘neutrality’ and so-called ‘research’. Tulasi Srinivas rather publish rumors and gossips from former followers rather than doing two minutes of footwork herself.

This type of biased behavior is not what one would expect from a credible and neutral academic.

Notes; “Introduction”; References 19 & 20; Page 349: Tulasi Srinivas cited India Today’s ‘Test Of Faith – A God Accused’ and Paul Lewis’ article ‘The Indian Living God, the Pedophilia Claims, and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards’ against Sathya Sai Baba.

Purposely suppressed, however, is the fact that former followers boasted about accomplishing these media exposures themselves.

About the India Today article, Hari Sampath (a former follower) said: “I had initiated and organized about 70 % of the major media stories on Sai Baba, including The Times, India Today, the Danish documentary, Salon.com and several others.”

About the India Today article, Barry Pittard (a former follower) said: “In 2000, I was a member of a small international group of former devotees which ran a number of potent exposure operations. In one of these, we got a 10-page cover story (December 4, 2000) in the prestigious mass circulation weekly magazine India Today. In eleven languages, millions of Indians read this publication, which is somewhat like a Time or Newsweek magazine for India and Indians abroad.”

About Paul Lewis’s article, Sanjay Dadlani (a former follower) said: “What you morons fail to realise is that these things take months of planning and co-ordinated research, especially by journalists and reporters of prestigious newspapers (such as the Times, Daily Telegraph, Australian Age, etc etc) who tend to go off and do their own research in the hope of turning up something new. We already knew about this issue months before the date of publication of course. In fact it was mooted as a front-page story, but at the last minute a development in a legal issue involving PM Tony Blair took precedence and the Sai Baba article was moved to Page 3. No matter, open the paper and it all goes BOOM! in your face … Sorry I couldn’t take part while I was busy participating in this development … Nice picture of the old faggot riding in his ridiculous golf buggy by the way. ;-) … We run the Exposé and the Exposé continues.” (Reference)

India Today and Paul Lewis knowingly withheld their behind-the-scenes collaboration with former followers. Is this information irrelevant to the Sathya Sai controversy? Tulasi Srinivas seems to think so as she purposely withheld this information from her readers.

Notes; “Becoming God”; References 22 & 23; Pages 353 & 355: Tulasi Srinivas published (several times) that Brian Steel claimed “to be neither a devotee or former devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba.

Nevertheless, Tulasi Srinivas actually confirmed that Brian Steel “was a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba from the early 1980s” to 2000 (pages 255 & 256). Why did Tulasi Srinivas attempt to convince (some would say “con”) her readers into believing that Brian Steel was “neither a devotee or former devotee” when she already documented his sixteen years of devotion to Sathya Sai Baba? It would appear that Tulasi Srinivas attempted to dupe readers into believing that Brian Steel was ‘neutral’ so that she could justify her heavy reliance on his ‘anti’ material (see 351:3; 353:18; 353:23; 354:29; 355:35; 355:42; 358:63; 361:51; 361:53; 371:17; 372:38; 372:39).

In Brian Steel’s book “The Powers of Sathya Sai Baba”, he wrote that he conducted worship and bhajans (devotional singing) with other Sai devotees in his house when he was a Sathya Sai devotee. Brian Steel even claimed that vibuthi (sacred ash) miraculously manifested from one of his pictures of Sathya Sai Baba that he worshipped and kept in his house.

Would a “non-former-devotee” conduct devotional singing in his house while worshipping pictures of Sathya Sai Baba, as Brian Steel did? Would a “non-former-devotee” write several books praising and eulogizing Sathya Sai Baba, as Brian Steel did? Brian Steel is even listed on Robert Priddy’s “Ex-office-bearers” webpage as being a Sathya Sai devotee from 1984 – 2000. Apparently, these obvious facts were casually dismissed by the academic and scholar Tulasi Srinivas (although she heavily cited Brian Steel’s ‘anti’ material in her book “Winged Faith”).

Tulasi Srinivas claimed she communicated with Brian Steel from 2006 – 2008 and actually had the audacity to say that Brian Steel’s alignment with former followers “might be involuntary”. Rubbish!

It is disconcerting that Tulasi Srinivas is attempting to peddle her biased research as “credible”, “neutral” and “intellectual” to unsuspecting academics, scholars, college students and general readers.

Moreno’s correspondence with Brian Steel (Emails 01Emails 02) reveals Brian Steel’s clear bias and antagonism against Sathya Sai Baba.

Tulasi Srinivas heavily cited Barry Pittard (a former follower) in “Winged Faith” (see 358:64; 372:30; 371:31; 371:36; 372:58) but purposely withheld all relevant information about him and his many smear and defamation campaigns against Sathya Sai Baba and Sathya Sai devotees.

Barry Pittard is a malicious propagator of Robert Priddy’s falsified and fraudulent “sexual molestation” libels against Gerald Joe Moreno. Barry Pittard also endorses and allies himself with Reinier van der Sandt, the ExBaba webmaster who has similarly libeled Gerald Joe Moreno as being sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba. If Barry Pittard endorses and supports falsified and fraudulent “sexual molestation” libels against Gerald Joe Moreno, what other falsified and fraudulent “sexual molestation” libels is he peddling against Sathya Sai Baba? Barry Pittard also accused a high-ranking Sathya Sai devotee of running a pedophile ring from his first-class apartment over looking Central Park in New York (Ref) and purposely misrepresented the former US State Department advisory by claiming they had “named Sathya Sai Baba re Pedophile Allegations”, a bold-faced untruth (Ref). Barry Pittard has also lied about there being 100 affidavits against Sathya Sai Baba, been accused of impropriety, fraudulently claimed to be a Professor, incited Islamic terrorists to kill Jews and Sathya Sai devotees at Puttaparthi, purposely ignores and suppresses relevant facts about BBC interviewee Alaya Rahm and been exposed for his pseudo-moralism.

Had Tulasi Srinivas contacted Moreno, she could have easily obtained this information that calls into question the alleged credibility of Barry Pittard. It would also appear that Tulasi Srinivas read Moreno’s webpages about Barry Pittard (since she cited links to Moreno’s website) but decided to purposely suppress this relevant information about him.

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, and Power”; Reference 37; Page 371: Tulasi Srinivas cited Serguei Badaev (a former follower) in “Winged Faith” but purposely withheld all relevant information about him. Moreno’s articles about Serguei Badaev reveals Badaev’s clear bias, antagonism and poor research against Sathya Sai Baba.

Tulasi Srinivas cited Conny Larsson (a former follower) in “Winged Faith” but purposely withheld all relevant information about him and his many smear and defamation campaigns against Sathya Sai Baba and Sathya Sai devotees. Tulasi Srinvas said that Conny Larsson was a “spiritual teacher” (page 256), which is a gross over-simplification of known facts.

Bi-Sexual Conny Larsson is peddling himself as a self-proclaimed Prophet and psychic trance channeler for Maharishi Vyasa. Conny Larsson’s “trance medium” claims were even published in a national Swedish newspaper (‘Norrlandska Socialdemokraten’) under the title Medium drog full hus (English: “Medium Draws Full House”), which documented a couple of ‘trance channeling’ demonstrations by Conny Larsson.

Robert Priddy and Kevin R. D. Shepherd attempted to defend Conny Larsson and were subsequently silenced by two scathing responses by Moreno entitled “Kevin Shepherd & Psychic Medium Conny Larsson” and “Conny Larsson Admits To Psychic Fraud”.

Conny Larsson claims he is a Psychic Healer and Spirit-Medium who uses crystal pendulums to diagnose disorders, blockages and ills in other’s auras (Ref). Conny Larsson also sells himself as a Meditation Guru, Spirituality & Yoga Master, Bhajan Leader, Mantra Guru, Vedic Master, etc. Conny Larsson is the founder of vedicmasterclass.org and heartandsoulexpo.com, which solicits the services of numerous psychics, mediums, channelers and New Age healers (many who have gurus and alleged “angel” contacts).

Even more disturbing is the fact that Conny Larsson self-disclosed his psychiatric diagnosis (made by a psychiatrist) of him being “psychoinfantile”, which is also known as Histrionic Personality Disorder. Conny Larsson has also been very open about his bisexuality, which was published in Swedish newspapers by various journalists.

Apparently, if you hear voices in your head, channel Vyasa, perform trance healings, converse with dead people, channel the spirits of dead animals, hold negative views about Sathya Sai Baba, perform séances and have been officially diagnosed with a psychiatric personality disorder, give Tulasi Srinivas a call because you might be her next credible reference against Sathya Sai Baba.

If Tulasi Srinivas revealed this information about Conny Larsson to her colleagues and students, there is little doubt they would all laugh her out of Emerson College. It is safe to say that academics, scholars, college students and general readers would not likely accept Psychic Medium Conny Larsson as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement.

Of course, the question remains: Why did Tulasi Srinivas accept Conny Larsson as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement?

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, and Power”; Reference 40; Page 372: Tulasi Srinivas cited PhD Timothy Conway in “Winged Faith” but purposely withheld all relevant information about him.

Although Timothy Conway can often be seen attempting to present himself as a rational and logical voice against Sathya Sai Baba, he is a true believer and promoter of Gurus [3], Mystics [3], Enlightened Masters [3], psychics [1] [2] [4], levitation [5], bi-location [5], miracles [5], remote-viewing [4], elementals, meditation [2] [6], paranormal powers [5], aliens [4] [10], rebirth [1] [7], reincarnation [1] [7], karma [8], oracles [2], I-Ching [2], sensitives [1] [2], channelers [1] [2], astrology [2], astrologists [2], palm-reading [2], non-duality [9], etc. (the list goes on and on).

For example, if you are looking for an answer to a difficult problem, Timothy Conway PhD suggested the following solutions:

“Ask God (Spirit, the one God-Self) for guidance and for some kind of ‘omen’ or ‘sign,’ if needed, to proceed in a certain direction (i.e., making choice A, B, C or whatever). Be willing to wait several days or weeks (or, in some cases, months or even years for this guidance to manifest)…Use an oracle, such as the I Ching (Book of Changes). More simply, you can ask for Divine Guidance and then flip a coin–with heads meaning one choice, tails meaning the other choice. If you like, flip it 10 times and see if a clear pattern emerges. You might say, ‘Well, how the coin flips is simply due to chance.’ Perhaps. But one can also trust that there is a deeper Principle behind everything that happens, and you can ask this Divine Guiding Intelligence to show you an answer via the coin-tossing process. Alternatively, you can create a slightly more sophisticated oracle of your own by getting out 3 or 4 pieces of paper. Then write ‘yes’ on one, ‘no’ on another, ‘wait’ on a third piece of paper, and, if you like, ‘wrong question’ on the fourth piece of paper. Then turn them face down, scramble them up, and pick one of the 3 or 4 pieces of paper to get guidance this way…You can also consult a psychic ‘sensitive’ and/or an astrologer or a palmist (Indian jyotish astrology followed by Western astrology seem to be the most accurate astrology systems. And, curiously, palmistry and astrology seem to complement each other as different methods for getting to the same ‘karmic’ information on the soul’s mission, destiny, strengths and vulnerabilities).” (Reference)

Timothy Conway also believed and endorsed (Ref) the alleged experiences of Shirlи Klein-Carsh, a so-called “Indigo” (an alleged extraterrestrial alien who voluntarily incarnates on Earth). Shirlи Klein-Carsh claimed she was psychologically, spiritually and artistically guided by a cleverly disguised Alien from Sirius who worked as an electronics repairman in a second-hand shop. Timothy Conway said:

“This is a fascinating study of someone with sensitivities hardly dreamed of by most persons. Other books present the carefully presented and reasoned case for the existence of inter-dimensional aliens interacting with humans. This book goes straight into the mystery and wonder of the human-alien contact.” (Reference)

Timothy Conway also attempted to argue that if Sathya Sai Baba possesses genuine paranormal powers, he could easily “warp spacetime” by creating an “insular interdimensional environment” where he could engage in abuse without easy detection (just as aliens are alleged to do through alien abductions: Ref)!

If Tulasi Srinivas revealed this information about PhD Timothy Conway to her colleagues and students, there is little doubt they would all laugh her out of Emerson College. It is safe to say that academics, scholars, college students and general readers would not likely accept Timothy Conway as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement.

Of course, the question remains: Why did Tulasi Srinivas accept Timothy Conway as a credible and reliable reference in relation to Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai movement?

Notes; “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth, And Power”; Reference 28; Page 371: Tulasi Srinivas made reference to the BBC documentary ‘Secret Swami’ and the allegations of sexual abuse by Alaya Rahm. However, all other relevant information and details about Alaya Rahm’s allegations were purposely withheld.

In “Response To Form Interrogatories” in Alaya Rahm’s self-dismissed lawsuit against the Sathya Sai Baba Society (Form Interrogatory No. 6.3, Set One) Alaya Rahm fully admitted he had been a daily user of illegal street drugs and alcohol from 1995 to 2005. Consequently, during Alaya Rahm’s “Divine Downfall” and India Today Anti-Sai interviews and during the filming of the BBC Documentary “Secret Swami” and the “Seduced By Sai Baba” Danish Documentary, Alaya Rahm was under the influence of illegal street drugs and alcohol while relating his alleged sexual encounters with Sathya Sai Baba. This crucial information wholly undermines Alaya Rahm’s credibility and irreparably compromises the integrity of his claims. Needless to say, Alaya Rahm’s alcoholism and drug addiction have been purposely suppressed from the general public by former followers, the Rahm Family, Tanya Datta, the BBC and Tulasi Srinivas (Ref).

In pretrial discovery, Alaya Rahm claimed he suffered no psychological trauma that would have required medical or psychiatric care. Alaya identified no psychologist who had ever examined him and his parents never had Alaya undergo psychological counseling despite their repeated and boisterous claims that Alaya was “seriously sexually molested”. The only help that Alaya obtained was a three day seminar from the Landmark Forum on “Empowerment, self help and personal growth” that cost $795 in June 2005 (five years after his alleged abuse and five months after he filed his lawsuits)! It would appear that Al & Marisa Rahm (the parents) were incredibly negligent in getting psychological help for their “seriously sexually molested” son.

Supporting Alaya Rahm’s involvement with illegal street drugs and drug addicts is a secondary court case in November 2007 where Alaya Rahm testified on behalf of his friend Valdez T Woods, who was arrested and convicted for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana with the intent to deliver (PDF Reference). As a matter of fact, Valdez T Woods was arrested within a mile of Alaya Rahm’s then current residence (as revealed in official court records). Alaya Rahm was identified as a “friend and associate” of drug dealer and drug addict Valdez T Woods.

In Alexandra Nagel’s paper entitled “Sai Baba as Shiva-Shakti: a Created Myth? Or?”, Alaya Rahm personally told Alexandra Nagel that Sathya Sai Baba had literally and miraculously transmogrified his penis into a vagina on two separate occasions by blowing on his fingers! These are the ludicrous (and quite frankly unbelievable) stories that Tulasi Srinivas apparently needed to withhold from her readers so that her smears against Sathya Sai Baba would be more believable.

Former followers have resorted to secrecy, concealment and strategies of silence regarding these facts and adamantly refuse to publicly discuss them (which they have similarly done in association with Conny Larsson’s ‘trance medium’ claims). Apparently, Tulasi Srinivas is following in the footsteps of former followers.

Tulasi Srinivas’ Serious And Potentially Libelous Assertions

In the chapter “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth and Power” (page 256), Tulasi Srinivas published serious and potentially libelous information against Stephen Carthew and Terry Gallagher by claiming Sathya Sai Baba initiated “sexual healing” and “genital oilings” on them. This is totally false information and it cannot be traced to any verifiable references. Tulasi Srinivas cited Alexandra Nagel’s paper “A Guru Accused” to support her assertions although Carthew and Gallagher’s names are not mentioned in Alexandra Nagel’s article. On June 26th 2010, Moreno emailed both Columbia University Press and Tulasi Srinivas and requested the correct reference to support the assertions made about Stephen Carthew and Terry Gallagher. To date, Moreno has not received a reply from either Columbia University Press or Tulasi Srinivas.

‘Winged Faith’ – Too Many Errors To List

The following seven examples are provided to give readers a better idea into Moreno’s contention that the list of errors, inaccuracies, misrepresentations and subjective inferences in Tulasi Srinivas’ book “Winged Faith” are simply too numerous to list:

  1. In the introduction to “Winged Faith” (page 9) Tulasi Srinivas claimed that Sathya Sai Baba’s materialization of vibuthi established himself in association with Shirdi Sai Baba, whom Tulasi Srinivas alleged “also materialized vibuthi for his followers”. Needless to say, Shirdi Sai Baba never “materialized” vibuthi for his followers. Rather, Shirdi Sai Baba took ash from his dhuni (sacrificial fire) and gave it to his followers to effect various cures.
  2. In the chapter “Becoming God” (page 59, figure 1.1), Tulasi Srinivas published an alleged “postcard image” of Sathya Sai Baba as a young man and claimed the image belonged to the “Collection of Tulasi Srinivas”. The image in question is not a postcard, does not belong to Tulasi Srinivas and was actually taken from the saibabaofindia.com domain without their permission or knowledge (view picture reference here). As a matter of fact, the image in question clearly shows the SBOI’s watermark. Before Tulasi Srinivas published her book “Winged Faith”, an internet abstract with similar content was circulated on the internet that similarly published an image taken from Moreno’s vishvarupa.com domain without his permission or knowledge.
  3. In the chapter “Becoming God” (page 75, figure 1.3), Tulasi Srinivas published an alleged “postcard image” of Sathya Sai Baba with other avatars (i.e. Rama, Krishna, Buddha and Shirdi Sai Baba) and claimed the image belonged to the “Collection of Tulasi Srinivas”. The image in question is not a postcard, does not belong to Tulasi Srinivas and was actually taken from the Sri Sathya Sai Books And Publications Trust (SSSBPT) domain without their permission or knowledge (view picture reference here). As a matter of fact, the image in question clearly shows the SSSBPT’s watermark.
  4. In an amusing fit of illogic, Tulasi Srinivas attempted to associate Sathya Sai Baba with the New Age movement (page 20) because a New Age shop in Burlington, Vermont sold Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa (an incense that is not associated in any manner with the Sathya Sai Organization). In fact, Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa is manufactured by Shrinivas Sugandhalaya in Bangalore (see picture reference here). It is a common practice in India for businesses and manufacturers to use the names of popular Saints on their products or in their business logos.
  5. In the chapter “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth and Power” (pages 253 – 257), Tulasi Srinivas made several exaggerated and unfounded claims about JuST (Just Seekers of Truth). Tulasi Srinivas estimated the total strength of JuST to be “roughly one hundred members” even though Barry Pittard specifically told her the number was “thirty-eight”. In truth, JuST is comprised of only thirty-two individuals (Ref). In December 2004, the “Sai Petition Committee” wrote a response to Moreno claiming that there were only six active members speaking on behalf of the collective JuST group (Ref). Tulasi Srinivas also stated “only two Indian names appear as part of the contemporary structure of JuST” (i.e. Hari Sampath and Sanjay Dadlani). Needless to say, neither Hari Sampath nor Sanjay Dadlani belongs to JuST. The only Indian name listed in JuST’s signatories list is Soma Jeyendren (an Indian residing in Australia). Even though this information is readily available on the internet, the academic and scholar Tulasi Srinivas attempted to peddle her subjective speculations as objective truth. Amusingly, when Tulasi Srinivas first attempted to correspond with JuST members in 2004, they “summarily dismissed” her. When Tulasi Srinivas contacted JuST in 2006 they asked for her “credentials”. Tulasi Srinivas stated that the same type of “secrecy and conspiracy mentality” that members of JuST saw in the Sathya Sai Organization, was present in them as well.
  6. In the chapter “Secrecy, Ambiguity, Truth and Power” (page 261), Tulasi Srinivas attempted to make the argument that the issues of “secrecy” and “concealment” were central to the deposition taken from Lewis Kreydick in Alaya Rahm’s self-dismissed lawsuit. To support her argument, Tulasi Srinivas enigmatically cited a couple of sentences from Lewis Kreydick’s deposition that were published on Moreno’s website. Tulasi Srinivas cited Lewis Kreydick’s story where Alaya Rahm sat on the Guru’s lap. Tulasi Srinivas pointed out that a lawyer had asked Lewis Kreydick if Alaya Rahm had asked him to keep the story a “secret”, to which Lewis Kreydick replied, “No, no.” (Ref). After enigmatically making reference to this irrelevant material, Tulasi Srinivas took off on a rant about how Sathya Sai devotees “had specific strategies of silence to combat unwanted behaviors and allegations that dealt with the sexual healing issue”. Needless to say, Lewis Kreydick did not in any way refuse to answer any questions during his deposition.

Had Tulasi Srinivas actually researched the material published on Moreno’s website or had she actually contacted Moreno, she would have discovered that Alaya Rahm publicly and openly discussed his story of sitting on Sathya Sai Baba’s lap at the USA Sai Regional Conference in August 1997, which was attended by a couple hundred Sathya Sai devotees from across the USA and which was videotaped and recorded on audio cassettes (Ref). Alaya Rahm self-disclosed this story before he made his allegations against Sathya Sai Baba and even claimed the experience left him in “ecstasy”. Therefore, Tulasi Srinivas’ enigmatic reference to this story in relation to “secrecy” and “concealment” accusations is entirely without merit.

  7. In the chapter “Out Of God’s Hands” (pages 307 – 312), Tulasi Srinivas exaggerated Sathya Sai devotee’s shopping habits and seemed to defend the notion that the sellers outside Sathya Sai Baba’s ashram do not cheat. In truth, many of the vendors outside Sathya Sai Baba’s ashram do cheat. Why shouldn’t the ashram warn Sathya Sai devotees about the cheating that goes on outside the ashram? Moreno lived at Puttaparthi for almost three consecutive years and he knows from first-hand knowledge that Tulasi Srinivas’ claims about Sathya Sai devotee’s shopping habits are completely biased, inaccurate and misrepresented. Tulasi Srinivas made a huge fuss about Sathya Sai devotee’s wanting their purchases to be free from defects. Who wants to purchase defective merchandise? It is a common sight to see vendors outside the ashram trying to sell worn-out, sun-scorched and old merchandise. Apparently, if Sathya Sai devotees want clean, new and undamaged merchandise, this is a sign of religious extremism and fanaticism, according to Tulasi Srinivas.

Since Tulasi Srinivas was so negligent and careless with her facts and research, how can anyone believe anything she has to say about Sathya Sai Baba, the Sathya Sai movement and the Sathya Sai controversy?

‘Winged Faith’ By Tulasi Srinivas – In Conclusion

In conclusion, Tulasi Srinivas’ book “Winged Faith: Rethinking Globalization and Religious Pluralism through the Sathya Sai Movement” is almost entirely unoriginal. The book essentially repeats and recycles many of the same thoughts and observations made by Lawrence A. Bapp, Deborah A. Swallow, Morton Klass, Smriti Srinivas, Antonio Rigolopoulos and Alexandra Kent. However, Tulasi Srinivas took her so-called ‘research’ a step lower and decided to reference internet propaganda against Sathya Sai Baba.

Tulasi Srinivas correctly stated “despite his critics’ claims of malfaesance, Sai Baba has never been accused (much less convicted) of wrongdoing in an Indian court of law” and “nothing has been proven against Sathya Sai Baba”. It is true that Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai Organization have never (ever) been charged with any crime. It is also true that no alleged victim (and no alleged victim’s mother or father) has ever filed (first-hand) a basic police complaint, public grievance or court case against Sathya Sai Baba or the Sathya Sai Organization in India. Therefore, it is very peculiar and highly unusual that an academic and scholar like Tulasi Srinivas would publish and reference internet propaganda from former followers against Sathya Sai Baba. This type of questionable behavior would seem to imply that Tulasi Srinivas is biased and that she used her book to push an agenda against Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai Organization under the pretexts of “globalization” and “transnational theory” discussions.

Although Tulasi Srinivas believed that Gerald Moreno was a Sathya Sai devotee, she never once attempted to contact or question him. Tulasi Srinivas’ core arguments are based on what she believes to be “secrecy”, “ambiguity”, “strategies of silence”, “polyvalent discourse” and “concealed knowledge” within the Sathya Sai movement. Tulasi Srinivas formulated these arguments by questioning a handful of Sathya Sai devotees about the allegations and then used their few responses (and mostly non-responses) to somehow represent the character and views of the entire Sathya Sai community (composed of millions of people)! Moreno’s open, detailed and direct discussions about the allegations against Sathya Sai Baba posed a direct threat to Tulasi Srinivas’ core arguments (which is probably why she never contacted Moreno in the first place). Therefore, it would appear that the only person guilty of “secrecy”, “ambiguity”, “strategies of silence”, “polyvalent discourse” and “concealed knowledge” is Tulasi Srinivas.

It is indeed ironic that Tulasi Srinivas named her book “Winged Faith” as that is exactly the type of belief she holds in ‘former followers’ and is exactly the type of belief she expects from those reading her discourses about the Sathya Sai movement. Although there is little doubt that the international Sathya Sai movement can be used as an example in “globalization” and “transnational theory” discussions, the numerous inaccuracies in “Winged Faith” solidifies the perception that Tulasi Srinivas’ convoluted and discursive arguments promote mediocrity over merit.

‘Howlers’ Robert Priddy Claims 2002 Interview Was Given In 2010

Senile Robert Priddy (a caustic critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba who once hailed the Guru as God Incarnate) recently wrote an article for his Anti-Baba blog entitled “Interview With Sathya Sai Baba 2010”.

The only wee problem with Robert Priddy’s hysterical and pathetic article is that the interview he claimed to have occurred in 2010 actually happened in 2002, or eight years ago! As a matter of fact, Robert Priddy’s screencap (yes, the one he made himself) showed the 2002 date in it. Furthermore, Robert Priddy was attempting to expose “new howlers” against Sathya Sai Baba. How ironic! Let us take a look at Robert Priddy’s senility in action:

Senile Robert Priddy Cant Read Either

Senile Robert Priddy Can't Read Either

robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/interview-with-sathya-sai-baba-2010
Robert Priddy: “Once again Sathya Sai Baba has given an interview, this time to Russian ladies. It is mostly the same in content as thousands of interviews, the same words to the same questions. The same superficial and flawed answers, but this time introducing a couple of new howlers of the kind only Sai Baba can manage in all seriousness. Why the website saibabaofindia.com posts such rubbish would be a mystery, but evidently those responsible do not realise the absurdity:”

And now for an epiphany…Yes, once again Robert Priddy tried to dupe his readers with disinformation…The same superficial and flawed disinformation, but this time introducing a couple of new howlers of the kind only Robert Priddy can manage in all seriousness. Why Robert Priddy posts such rubbish would be a mystery, but evidently he does not realise the absurdity!

Welcome to Robert Priddy’s looney-tune world. If you look on the right-side menu, you’ll notice a blurb under Robert Priddy’s picture that says in part:

Robert Priddy: “I was 73 last September, am healthy and with unimpaired mind and memory…”

“Unimpaired mind and memory”? Apparently, Robert Priddy doesn’t realize the absurdity of that comment either.

Now, let us take a look at a screencap from the original saibabaofindia.com article. Notice the unmistakable date (given twice, one in bold & large font) as “25.06.2002” (June 25th 2002).

Very Clear 2002 Date

Very Clear 2002 Date

One will also notice that Robert Priddy’s alleged screencap of the saibabaofindia.com domain is not how their page looks like. This is not surprising considering Robert Priddy’s brazen acts of screencap fraud, which now seems to be extending to other websites as well.

Attention Robert Priddy: Step away from the computer and seek medical and psychiatric help for your problems, as they seem many. Also, Gerald Moreno suggests you buy a mirror if you really want something to “howl” at.

Deepwater Horizon BP Oil Spill Disaster In The Gulf Of Mexico

It has been extremely saddening to watch the news regarding the BP Oil Spill that is now claiming so much marine life. It’s emotionally devastating to watch the dolphins swimming near the shoreline, sticking their heads out of the water helplessly. So many dolphins, turtles, birds and fish have died due to this oil spill and I find it so very, very sad.

Here is a dolphin background I made. Click thumbnail to enlarge:

A Prayer Of Light For Our Marine Friends

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill (also referred to as the BP oil spill, the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the BP oil disaster or the Macondo blowout) is a massive ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that is now considered the largest offshore spill in U.S. history. Some estimates placed it by late May or early June, 2010, as among the largest oil spills in the world with tens of millions of gallons spilled to date. The spill stems from a sea floor oil gusher that resulted from the April 20, 2010 Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explosion. The explosion killed 11 platform workers and injured 17 others.

The gusher, now estimated by the quasi-official Flow Rate Technical Group to be flowing at 35,000 to 60,000 barrels (1,500,000 to 2,500,000 US gallons; 5,600 to 9,500 cubic metres) of crude oil per day, originates from a deepwater wellhead 5,000 feet (1,500 m) below the ocean surface. The exact spill flow rate is uncertain due to the difficulty of installing measurement devices at that depth and is a matter of ongoing debate. The resulting oil slick covers a surface area of at least 2,500 square miles (6,500 km2), with the exact size and location of the slick fluctuating from day to day depending on weather conditions. Scientists have also reported immense underwater plumes of oil not visible at the surface.

Experts fear that the spill will result in an environmental disaster, with extensive impact already on marine and wildlife habitats. The spill has also damaged the Gulf of Mexico fishing and tourism industries. There have been a variety of ongoing efforts to stem the flow of oil at the wellhead. Crews have been working to protect hundreds of miles of beaches, wetlands and estuaries along the northern Gulf coast, using skimmer ships, floating containment booms, anchored barriers, and sand-filled barricades along shorelines. The U.S. Government has named BP as the responsible party in the incident, and officials have said the company will be held accountable for all cleanup costs resulting from the oil spill. We send our prayers to those affected by the BP Oil Spill disaster: To the people, to the wildlife and to the marine life.

Robert Priddy Dared Not Sue Leo Rebello

It is an irrefutable fact that Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Organisation refuse to be dragged into Ex-Devotee’s gutter of hate, lies, smears, defamations and libels.

Despite years of unrelenting attacks by Barry Pittard, Robert Priddy. Timothy Conway, Serguei Badaev, Brian Steel, Andries Krugers Dagneaux, Al & Marisa Rahm, Tony O’Clery, Psychic Trance Medium Conny Larsson, etc., Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Organisation have never (ever) been officially charged with any crime and not even one alleged “victim” has filed a basic police complaint, public grievance or court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India (the only place where courts would have jurisdiction over the Guru as an individual defendant). This is an irrefutable statement of fact and critics of Sathya Sai Baba cannot cite any credible or legal references to support their attacks, rumors, gossips and conspiracy theories.

The only legal case filed against Sathya Sai Baba was by Alaya Rahm (the ‘Secret Swami’ superstar), who actually filed bogus suits against the wrong defendants in the wrong country (the suits were filed in the USA and not in India)! Alaya Rahm’s legal cases were all self-dismissed before they ever went to trial. See:

Brian Steel Wrote About Internet Attacks Against Sathya Sai Baba

It is interesting to note that when Brian Steel was a Sai Devotee (he is currently an Ex-Devotee), he wrote about internet attacks in his book “The Powers of Sathya Sai Baba”, Mornington, 1998. This book attempted to categorize the profuse and diverse miracles of Sathya Sai Baba that occur on a global scale. Brian Steel claimed that vibuthi manifested on his picture of Sathya Sai Baba and claimed the guru miraculously saved him from drowning. However, let us take a closer look at Brian Steel’s actual words regarding the internet attacks against Sathya Sai Baba:

Brian Steel: “The Internet allows both (or more!) sides of a topic to be examined. Nevertheless, it is wise to remember that because of freedom of access to anyone with a computer and a modem, the Web is also accessible to people with negative intentions and even to raving lunatics. Literally anyone may have his or her say. (page 158)

Naturally, the Web is also open to critics and detractors. The Indian Skeptics have their own Website and they are supported by other groups and individuals abroad with similiar aims, notably in Canada and Germany. Other groups of skeptics have Web Sites too. But Baba has a white knight on the Worldwide Web to defend Him. The well-known and indefatigable American Sai Baba devotee, Bon Giovanni, who has built up a large and important Website, makes much Baba information and opinion available and provides mnay links with overseas Sai Websites, and even a link to sites critical of Sai Baba(like the Indian Skeptics), which must surely impress even those dour individuals! The inquisitive Web surfer can even find a link on Bon’s Web Pages to an internet book by a Canadian skeptic. The book attempts to show that Sai Baba is neither omniscient or omnipotent. Fortunately, and to his enormous credit, Bon Giovanni actually debates on the ‘Net’ with such critics of Sai Baba. (page 159)

Since Baba does not usually respond to criticism of any kind, there is no fear of a libel suit and so journalists may proceed more or less with impunity to try to sow doubts on Baba’s actions and motives. (pages 150-151)”

Even Brian Steel was aware of the fact that since Sathya Sai Baba rarely responds to criticisms of any kind, people feel free to libel him because they have no fear of legal suits.

Robert Priddy’s Double Standards & Deceit Come Back To Bite Him

Robert Priddy wrote an article entitled “Sathya Sai Baba dared not sue Daily People newspaper”, in which he poorly attempted to make the argument that because the Sai Organisation did not sue the Daily People newspaper for “libel” that the stories they published must somehow be true.

On the internet, Leo Rebello has publicly claimed that Robert Priddy has AIDS, is a homosexual, is a schizophrenic and had sex with his former guru (Refs: 0102). Robert Priddy has never attempted to sue Leo Rebello for “libel”, so what must we infer from Robert Priddy’s inaction? That Leo Rebello’s accusations are true? Using the very same standards that Robert Priddy used against Sathya Sai Baba, the answer is “yes”! Robert Priddy “dared not sue” Leo Rebello for “libel” and Priddy’s inaction strongly implies that Rebello’s accusations have merit to them.

Thank you Mr. Priddles for setting the standard and implicating yourself in the process!

Ex-Devotee’s employ a entire slew of double standards and reprehensible tactics against Sathya Sai Baba, the Sai Organization, Sai Devotees and Pro-Sai Activists. However, if one were to turn the tables on Ex-Devotee’s they would be implicated in the very same reprehensible behaviors they attribute to others.

Robert Priddy is being dealt with now and as one can see, dealing with him requires no huge effort. It is obvious that Robert Priddy must sense the irremediable inferiority of his arguments and that is why he is so frenzied to create an untrue and injurious impression of those who disagree with his hate-based agendas. Perhaps the most disturbing part to Robert Priddy’s harangues is his astonishing ability to tell pathological lies with a straight face, without even cracking a smile or suppressing a giggle. Robert Priddy has trained himself well in the art of rhetoric and he has apparently amazed and dazed some people with his nostril-flaring ability. Moreno remains unimpressed.

Robert Priddy – The Con Artist:

Needless to say, Robert Priddy has a long and established history of distortions, lies, defamations and libels.

Of course, none of these things are surprising considering that Robert Priddy is an LSD Advocate who is thoroughly obsessed with genital oilings and who relishes projecting his homoerotic fantasies onto Moreno. Robert Priddy is allied with Bisexual & Psychic Trance Medium Conny Larsson and Child Porn Purveyor RFJ Sandt and Perverted Fetishist Sanjay Dadlani. Robert Priddy is also a staunch promoter of New Age Advocate & Reincarnator Alan Kazlev and Guru & UFO Promoter Timothy Conway (who actually believes that Sathya Sai Baba may have molested alleged victims like aliens are alleged to do through abductions!).

The only people guilty of running “massive disinformation and cover-up campaigns” are Robert Priddy and Ex-Devotees who have attacked hundreds of Sai Devotees & Non-Devotees alike and who have created hundreds of webpages to defame, libel and smear Gerald Joe Moreno. What more can one do but laugh at loud at Robert Priddy and his hypocritical finger-pointing?

Vishal Arora & Tehmina Arora – Christian Bias Against Hindus

Vishal Arora (Picture Link) is an independent & freelance journalist and writer living in New Delhi, India. Vishal Arora’s articles have appeared in Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, The Deccan Herald, The Tribune, The Statesman, Mint, Indo-Asian News Service, Sify.com, Swagat, The Caravan, Compass Direct News, Religion News Service, World Politics Review, Lipido Media and Religious Watch. Vishal Arora has presented papers on the mixing of religion and politics in seminars organised by the Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life in Washington DC (which focused on the dangers of “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists” and “Right Wing Hindus”). Vishal Arora writes on socio-political affairs and human rights for national and foreign media with an almost exclusive focus on incidents of communal violence in India against the Christian minority. On the internet and on Vishal Arora’s official domain (vishalarora.co.in), his religious affiliation is not openly divulged (although some of his writings talk about God in a seemingly non-denominational way: 0102030405). It is suspected that Vishal Arora’s religious affiliation is purposely suppressed and cleverly cloaked to avert accusations of Christian bias.

Vishal Arora Contacted Gerald Moreno About The Sai Controversy

On May 11th 2010, Gerald Moreno received the following email from Vishal Arora:

Vishal Arora: “Dear Mr. Gerald Moreno,

I am a journalist based in New Delhi, India. I am writing an article on Sathya Sai Baba, which includes the accusations by numerous ex-devotees. Most of those who made the allegations have told me that you have been the most active person to ‘spread hate’ against them. So, I wanted to give you a fair chance to respond to this. Can I also know how are you related to Sathya Sai Baba? Are you a devotee?

Also, I’d appreciate if you could say, in a few lines, why so many ex-devotees made the allegations?

Thanks and regards,
Vishal Arora ”

Gerald Moreno responded the same day (May 11th 2010) and his full response can be found on the Vishal Arora Correspondence Page. Vishal Arora adamantly refused to answer any and all questions posed to him by Gerald Moreno. This type of one-way and secretive behavior is not what one would expect from a credible journalist or writer. Apparently, Vishal Arora has much to hide and is not interested in maintaining an open, sincere and two-way dialogue with Gerald Moreno, whom he intends to write about. The reasons for Visha Arora’s secrecy have since come to light and may be disturbing to some.

Vishal Arora – Christian Bias Uncovered

Before Moreno received Vishal Arora’s email, Moreno contacted Lisa DeWitt about Robert Priddy’s 16-day absence from his blog (which was highly unusual considering Robert Priddy’s rabid blog postings on almost a daily basis). The very same day that Vishal Arora emailed Moreno (May 11th 2010) was the very same day that Robert Priddy resumed posting on his blog. Coincidence?

Moreno felt that since Vishal Arora implied he had talked extensively to ex-devotees and simply asked for a “few lines” from him, something did not feel “right”, so he decided to research Vishal Arora. It was quickly discovered that Vishal Arora’s official domain (vishalarora.co.in) was purchased and registered for him by NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary)

What is “NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary)”?

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

Our Denominational Affiliation
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention. The Seminary would not be financially viable apart from significant funding by the SBC Cooperative Program. The Charter of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary assigns ownership of the Seminary assets to the Southern Baptist Convention, requires that all NOBTS Trustees be elected by the Southern Baptist Convention, and declares that the Charter “may not be altered, amended, or repealed without the expressed prior consent of the Southern Baptist Convention.”

Our Heritage
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary was founded in 1917 by an act of the Southern Baptist Convention at their annual meeting that year in New Orleans. Originally named “Baptist Bible Institute,” New Orleans Seminary was the first theological institution to be created by direct action of the Southern Baptist Convention. It was originally created as an undergraduate institution modeled after Moody Bible Institute. Gradually, the school began to move toward graduate level training, and in 1946 the Convention renamed the institution “New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.”

The school was the fulfillment of a century-old dream of Baptists to establish a missionary training school in New Orleans as a gateway to Latin America, and as a mission center in the ungodly city of New Orleans. In 1914, P. I. Lipsey, editor of the Mississippi Baptist Record, wrote an impassioned editorial favoring the creation of a theological school in New Orleans: “A seminary (in New Orleans) would plant the Baptist cause in this city in a way that would immediately command the attention and the respect of all. It would be planting the siege guns at the enemies’ gates.”

Baptist Bible Institute opened its first session in October 1918 under the leadership of Byron H. DeMent, who served as president of the BBI from 1917 to 1928. “The Baptist Bible Institute is preeminently a child of providence and prayer,” DeMent said at his inauguration. Since that day, New Orleans Seminary has been known as “The School of Providence and Prayer.”

Others who have served as president of the school are William W. Hamilton Sr. (1928-42); Duke K. McCall (1943-46); Roland Q. Leavell (1946-58); H. Leo Eddleman (1959-70); Grady C. Cothen (1970-74); and Landrum P. Leavell II, nephew of Roland Leavell, (1974-95). On February 23, 1996, Dr. Charles S. “Chuck” Kelley, Jr., of Beaumont, Texas, was elected unanimously as the seminary’s eighth president. Prior to his election he had served at the seminary for 13 years as the Roland Q. Leavell Professor of Evangelism and most recently as the director of the Seminary’s Leavell Center for Evangelism and Church Health.

From its beginning until 1953, the school was located at 1220 Washington Avenue, in the heart of the Garden District of residential New Orleans. The current campus, at 3939 Gentilly Boulevard was purchased in 1947. The landmark entrance gates and fence from the Garden District mansion now are located on the front block of the Gentilly campus. The current property, once a 75-acre pecan orchard, has been transformed into a beautiful campus with more than 100 buildings. More than 20,000 men and women have prepared for ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Our Doctrinal Commitments
All the faculty members of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary subscribe to the school’ historic confession, the Articles of Religious Belief, and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Our President has signed on behalf of the Seminary a pledge to doctrinal faithfulness entitled “One Faith, One Task, One Sacred Trust: A Covenant Between Our Churches and Seminaries.” And the faculty also recently joined the other Southern Baptist seminary faculties in endorsing “What God Has Joined Together: A Resolution in Defense of Marriage”.

Needless to say, a Baptist Theological Seminary would never purchase and register a domain for someone who was not strongly allied with them, their beliefs, their practices and their missionary objectives. The Southern Baptist Convention is one of the most conservative, evangelical and fundamentalist Christian Churches in the USA and also has the largest number of Christian missionaries (more so than all other USA Christian Churches combined). The Baptist Center for Theology & Ministry’s Faith & Message Statement and NOBTS Articles of Religious Belief are of particular interest. The Southern Baptist Convention believes:

“It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man’s spirit by God’s Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others. Missionary effort on the part of all rests thus upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life, and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.” (Reference)

Moreno emailed Vishal Arora on May 11th 2010 about this information and said:

Gerald Moreno: “Dear Vishal Arora,

It is my sincere hope that when you write your article about Sathya Sai Baba that you will divulge any association you may have with NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary), which registered your official domain http://vishalarora.co.in/. The About NOBTS page is of particular interest.

When you are attempting to write about a spiritual teacher who has a large Hindu following in India, I think this information is highly relevant and necessary. Needless to say, I have written extensively about various Christian movements against Sathya Sai Baba and your Pro-Christian writings, your friendships with various Christians and your association with an evangelical Christian ministry raises several red flags.

I must also say I am very concerned about what appears to be an extensive communication between you and ex-devotees and how you wanted me to summarize my views in a ‘few lines’ (which is what prompted me to research your associations more closely).

Therefore, I kindly ask that you maintain transparency in your writings pertaining to Sathya Sai Baba so that you will not be accused of bias or having ulterior motives like Vir Sanghvi, Paul Lewis, Tanya Datta, Michelle Goldberg and NineMSN A Current Affair.

If you decide to withhold your association with NOBTS and if I feel that your article does not give due justice to both sides of the Sai Controversy, I will be forced to write about this issue and make it public.

I sincerely hope there is less to this finding than I think there is. You are free to enlighten me.

Sincerely,

Gerald Moreno”

Vishal Arora responded on May 12th 2010 and said (in part):

Vishal Arora: “There is no need for me to hide that I am a convert to Christianity, but I respect all religions and their followers. My brother studied at the NOBTS a few years ago when I registered my domain…

Thank you and regards,

Vishal Arora”

Vishal Arora’s brother is Vivek Arora (Profile Subsequently DeletedSee Screencap). Vivek Arora pursued his PhD at NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary) from 2004 – 2009 and is a Research Associate for the Center for New Testament Textual Studies (which is also associated with NOBTS). Furthermore, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) said the following about Vivek Arora (Picture Link):

NAMB: “As a young man living in India, Vivek Arora had a dream that he would someday find a book that would answer all his questions and that he would be instrumental in bringing people together in a way that would let them live in harmony. He discovered that book years later when he came to faith in Christ while reading a Hindi translation of the Bible. As for people living in harmony, he believes the Great Commission is God’s plan for that. Today, Vivek and his wife, Manisha, are church planting missionaries in Boston, reaching out to the international community that has gathered from around the world in one of America’s great cities. ‘We are reaching out to international students and professionals,’ Vivek says. ‘Many come here from their countries for two or three years. If we can reach them for Christ the impact will be greatly multiplied when they return to their home countries.’” (Reference)

NAMB’s statement of faith can be found HERE. NAMB’s views on Biblical Inerrancy can be found HERE.

However, it is irrelevant if Vivek Arora studied at NOBTS (the only relevance being a conservative, fundamentalist and evangelical Christian faith among members of the Arora family). NOBTS did not purchase and register a domain for Vivek Arora. NOBTS purchased and registered a domain for Vishal Arora. A Baptist Theological Seminary would never purchase and register a domain for someone who was not strongly allied with them, their beliefs, their practices and their missionary objectives. The fact that NOBTS purchased and registered Vishal Arora’s official domain strongly suggests he is allied with them and is possibly funded by them as well.

Considerable research was conducted into domains purchased by NOBTS and not even one other domain was found to be registered by NOBTS for any single individual besides Vishal Arora. Considering NOBTS Statement of Faith (that states there is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and that the unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, a place of everlasting punishment) and considering Vishal Arora’s ties with this conservative, fundamentalist and evangelical Christian organization, it is very difficult to accept Vishal Arora’s Christian faith along with his comments about respecting all religions and their followers. It is also very disturbing that Vishal Arora, as a Christian convert, would be writing about Sathya Sai Baba (a revered spiritual teacher who happens to have a large Hindu following in India and a large multi-faith following world-wide).

Although Vishal Arora does not write “Anti-Hindu” articles per se, he does write extensively about communal violence in India against the Christian minority that tends to demonize “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists” and “Right-Wing Hindus” (which are subjective descriptions often used on the internet to formulate “Christian vs Hindu” arguments). Vishal Arora has argued extensively against “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists”, “Right-Wing Hindus” and anyone he believes may be associated with them (which happens to include various gurus and spiritual teachers in India with large Hindu followings). In an article entitled “Religion and Politics in India”, Vishal Arora wrote:

Vishal Arora: “Religious leaders have enormous followings and acceptability in India. Not only the people, but also the politicians seek their ‘blessings’. There are many Hindu gurus who are known for their overt support to the BJP’s Hindu nationalist agenda. These gurus include Sadhvi Ritambhara, Morari Bapu, Asaram Bapu, Vasudevanand Saraswati, and Swami Satyamitranand Giri.

In July 2008, high-profile spiritual gurus, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Swami Ramdev, were the special guests at the launch of the Hindi version of BJP leader Advani’s autobiography, ‘My Country My Life’, in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh state. The gurus reportedly praised Advani in their address.” (Reference)

Consequently, it is not surprising that Vishal Arora, as a Christian convert, is taking aim at popular gurus and spiritual teachers in India (who have large Hindu followings) and is attempting to associate them with “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists” and “Right Wing Hindus”. It is an irrefutable fact that Vishal Arora’s writings are published on numerous conservative, fundamentalist and evangelical Christian websites & blogs that are used to polarize Christians against Hindus. Vishal Arora only writes one-way articles about alleged Christian persecution in India that systematically demonizes “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists” and “Right Wing Hindus”. Needless to say, there is another side to the Christian persecution stories. In India, one cannot travel anywhere without seeing Christian graffiti painted on boulders near main traffic routes and on the rocks on high mountains tops. The author has personally seen these things all over India. How would Christians feel if Muslims or Hindus painted their religious symbols on boulders near main traffic routes and on the rocks on high mountain tops in their predominantly Christian countries? If this happened, there would be undeniable hostility and anger against Muslims or Hindus. Yet, when Christians paint their graffiti in India (which is predominantly a Hindu country) they cry “persecution” and play “martyrs” when Hindus and Muslims get hostile and angry with them. Why should Hindus and Muslims have to endure this type of fanatic religious behavior from minority Christians in their homeland?

There have been stories of Christians throwing beef on Hindu idols (Ref), Christians killing Hindus (Refs: 01020304), a Catholic priest (who was criminally charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Minnesota) being protected by his home diocese in India (Ref) and even fellow Christians admitting to the aggressiveness of Christian missionaries in India (Refs: 0102).

Sita Ram Goel, K. M. Panikkar, Arun Shourie, M.S. Srinivasan and Gauri Viswanathan have written extensively and intelligently about conversion tactics in India by Christian missionaries (Ref: 010203) and have sounded refuted Vishal Arora’s claim that Christianity came to India with the arrival of Apostle Thomas in Kerala in 52 AD (Ref). Christians have created an Indian Bible using Hindu imagery & Hindu scriptures and have also adopted Hindu names and outfits to trick Hindus into accepting Jesus Christ (Refs: 01020304). For example, see the Christian Yogi Bede Griffith Trust Website. Other types of inculturation and assimilation ploys include the Hindu’ization of Jesus Christ and the Hindu’ization of Christian symbols (the cross in English letters reads “Om Namah Cristaya” meaning “Om Obeisance to Jesus Christ” and “Christa Sharanam” meaning “Jesus Christ is our Refuge”).

Vishal Arora And The Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life

As mentioned in the introduction, Vishal Arora has presented papers on the mixing of religion and politics in seminars organised by the Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life in Washington DC (which focused on the dangers of “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists” and “Right Wing Hindus”). Do not let the fancy name fool you, the Oxford Centre For Religion and Public Life is a USA-based Christian organization founded by the Reverend Dr. Arne Fjeldstad (who is also the “Head of Communications” for the Anglican group GAFCON). The Oxford Centre For Religion and Public Life created the “project” domain GetReligion.org, which is owned and registered by Terry Mattingly (an Eastern Orthodox Christian who directs the Washington Journalism Center at the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities). All of the contributors for GetReligion.org are Christians (mostly Christian converts and/or Orthodox Christians). Videos of a very nervous Vishal Arora (notice the repeated blinking of his eyes and gulping movements in his throat) were created by the Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life and published on YouTube:

Vishal Arora was filmed in Washington DC by a Christian organization where he talked against “Right Wing Hindus”. Since Vishal Arora is an independent writer from India with no known ties to any specific media organization, where exactly is Vishal Arora getting his paycheck from and who is sponsering and/or funding his expensive trips to the USA?

Vishal Arora Invokes The Swastika Against Hindu Nationalists

Vishal Arora wrote an article entitled Swastika Terrorism, which claimed “The Indian government is ignoring the surge of Hindutva terrorism at its own risk.” Why would Vishal Arora associate a known Hindu symbol with “Hindutvas” (movements advocating for Hindu nationalism)?

The word “swastika” is derived from the Sanskrit word “svastika”, meaning any lucky or auspicious object, and in particular a mark made on persons and things to denote good luck. It is composed of “su” meaning “good, well” and “asti” “to be”. Svasti thus means “well-being”.

As noted by Monier-Williams in his Sanskrit–English dictionary, according to Alexander Cunningham, the swastika represents a monogram formed by interlacing of the letters of the auspicious words su-asti (svasti) written in Ashokan characters. Archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates from the Neolithic period in Ancient India. The swastika occurs mainly in the modern day culture of India, sometimes as a geometrical motif and sometimes as a religious symbol. It remains widely used in Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Though once commonly used all over much of the world without stigma, because of its iconic usage in Nazi Germany the symbol has become stigmatized in the Western world, notably even outlawed in Germany

In Christianity, the swastika was used as a hooked version of the Christian Cross, the symbol of Christ’s victory over death. Some Christian churches built in the Romanesque and Gothic eras are decorated with swastikas, carrying over earlier Roman designs. Swastikas are prominently displayed in a mosaic in the St. Sophia church of Kiev, Ukraine dating from the 12th century. Swastikas also appear as a repeating ornamental motif on a tomb in the Basilica of St. Ambrose in Milan (Reference).

Vishal Arora’s invocation of the swastika stimga is a direct attack against Hindus who have been using that religious symbol for thousands of years. Vishal Arora, as a Christian convert, would appear to be inciting hostility and hatred against Hindus to his mainly Christian readers who are not familiar with the Hindu religion and its history with the swastika. As a matter of fact, fanatic Christians often claim that Hindus are “Nazi inspired”, “Hitler inspired”, “swastika worshipping”, “Nazi terrorists” , “using Nazi tactics”, “idolators”, “satanists”, “swastika terrorists”, etc. Shame of Vishal Arora for using the Hindu swastika as a prop to stigmatize Hindu Nationalists.

Vishal Arora’s Wife – Tehmina Arora

Tehmina Arora is the wife of Vishal Arora and she is the general secretary for the Christian Legal Association (CLA). What is the “Christian Legal Association”?

About Us
Christian Legal Association (CLA) aims on inspiring Christians in the legal profession to answer God’s call found in Micah 6:8 to “do justice, love mercy and walk humbly before God”, by living wholeheartedly for God in their place of study or work, thinking about legal issues from a Biblical perspective.

(Reference)

What is the Christian Legal Association’s “Statement of Faith”?

All CLA members adhere to the following Statement of Faith

Trusting in Jesus Christ as my Saviour, I believe in:

– One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
– God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
– The Deity of our Lord, Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; His vicarious death for our sins through which we receive eternal life; His bodily resurrection and personal return.
– The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
– The Bible as the inspired Word of God.

(Reference)

Tehmina Arora also belong to Micah Challenge, which is described as:

“Micah Challenge is a global coalition between the World Evangelical Alliance and the Micah Network. The Micah Network brings together 330 Christian organizations providing relief, development and justice ministries throughout the world. The WEA embraces 420 million evangelical Christians in 127 countries.” (Reference)

The Micah Challenge website provided the following information about Tehmina Arora:

“Tehmina is the General Secretary of the Christian Legal Association, India. She has written over 30 articles on human rights issues, published in leading national dailies and magazines. Tehmina is frequently called upon to address groups at seminars across the country on the rights of religious minorities in India. She worked briefly at the Supreme Court of India as an advocate before joining the Christian Legal Association.” (Reference)

Micah Challenge is facilitated by the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and the Micah Network. The Council for Micah Challenge has ten members drawn from the leadership of Evangelical Alliances and Christian relief and development agencies from around the world. The chair is Rev Joel Edwards, General Director of Evangelical Alliance UK. The other Board Members are: Tehmina Arora (India), Andy Atkins (UK), Steve Bradbury (Australia), Loida Cariel (Peru), Jane Furniss (Micah Network), Paul Mususu (Zambia), Geoff Tunnicliffe (WEA) and Peter Vander Meulen (USA). Ken Morgan serves as the ex-officio treasurer of the Board.

Tehmina Arora also has a long-time family history involvement with the Lalbagh Methodist Church in India. According to Kuruvilla Chandy (an Indian Pastor), Tehmina Arora and her Grand-Parents worshipped at the Lalbagh Methodist Church:

“Dr B Jeyaraj and I were room mates at seminary. He was my junior then. Today he is a professor in Old Testament studies. Tehmina Arora is the grand daughter of a couple who worshipped at the Lalbagh Methodist Church when I was pastor there. She has visited and worshipped at Lalbagh during my time. She is now in charge of the legal department of the Evangelical Fellowship of India. Both Jeyaraj and Tehmina were at the conference in Bangalore” (Text ReferencePicture Reference)

This might explain why Vishal Arora made no mention to Tehmina Arora on his official domain. To Date: Neither Vishal Arora or Tehmina Arora have publicly divulged their husband/wife relationship (the FaceBook association where their relationship was discovered is private and can only be seen by members: See: Vishal Arora on FaceBookTehmina Arora on FaceBook).

Vishal Arora – In Conclusion

Vishal Arora has gone to great extents to package and present himself and his writings as unbiased and neutral. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Vishal Arora is a Christian convert, his wife and brother are conservative, fundamentalist and evangelical Christians and his official domain (vishalarora.co.in) was purchased and registered for him by the USA conservative, fundamentalist and evangelical Christian group NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary), which believes:

“It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations.”“The heathen, then, are under condemnation just as well as those who hear and reject the gospel, for they are sinners by both nature and practice.”“We believe that the Christian life begins with conversion.” (Refs: 0102)

Vishal Arora is also affiliated with the Christian organization “Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life” and the Christian news agency “Compass Direct News”. Therefore, Vishal Arora’s writings and views about “Hindu Nationalists”, “Hindu Extremists” and “Right Wing Hindus” are biased, self-serving and written with ulterior motives. Vishal Arora and Tehmina Arora have a Christian agenda that specifically targets “Right-Wing Hindus” (which can actually refer to any Hindu who does not denounce Hinduism and accept Christianity) and anyone they perceive as having affiliations with “Right-Wing Hindus”.

Vishal Arora, Tehmina Arora, Vivek Arora and NOBTS are “Right-Wing Christians” who feel it is their religious duty and moral imperative to convert Hindus to their Christian faith. So when Vishal Arora “innocently” takes aim at popular gurus and spiritual teachers in India (who have large Hindu followings) and attempts to associate them with “Right-Wing Hindus”, make no mistake about it: Vishal Arora is on a Christian crusade for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Robert Priddy’s ‘Pornography Submissions’ Argument Comes Back To Bite Him

On June 10th 2010, Robert Priddy (a caustic critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba and others) wrote yet another article against Gerald Joe Moreno repeating his accusations of “false porn site postings”. Robert Priddy’s ridiculous arguments actually implicate himself in the very same rat nest of malicious behaviors he attributes to Moreno. Moreno has already written about this issue several times before in articles entitled:

In addition to accusing Moreno of submitting Ex-Devotee’s websites to “porno-sites”, Robert Priddy even accused Moreno of submitting his own (i.e., Moreno’s) websites to “porno-sites”!

Robert Priddy said:

robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/gerald-morenos-false-claim-about-porn-site-postings
Robert Priddy: “Gerald Moreno has tried to blacken my character in innumerable ways, all without the slightest substance. However, among his dirty tricks is to claim that I posted on a porn site to get my site listed! Of course I never would not ever did post anything on any porno site. Moreno claims to know this… he could not defend it legally, nor dozens of other direct wilful and highly defamatory untruths he has leveled against me.”

kevinrdshepherd.net/html/22__wikipedia___moreno__google.html
Kevin R. D. Shepherd: “The quoted letter of Priddy (dated Jan. 2007) included the statement: ‘Moreno uses dirty tricks, like posting names of his opponents on porno sites, then publicising it; someone has posted my website URL on a porno site (at some expense).’”

Robert Priddy linked to the following page that claimed:

saibabaexpose.com/GeraldMoreno.html
“NB! HERE ARE MORE GOOGLE LISTINGS WHERE MORENO HAS ARRANGED FOR SANJAY’S DADLANI’S NAME TO APPEAR ON NUMEROUS DISGUSTING PORN SITES! Moreno conceals his identity here as elsewhere. But it is unquestionably Moreno at work here since he has previously done the same against Reinier van der Sandt. In case anyone doubts that Moreno stoops to making the above entries by registering on the porn sites – consider these images he made on his blog, sanjaydadlaniexposed.com (on the right…..”

Since Robert Priddy has falsely and fraudulently accused Gerald Moreno of submitting Ex-Devotee’s and his websites to pornography domains, then Robert Priddy should be able to substantiate his accusations against Moreno with factual and verifiable information. Since Robert Priddy contrasts himself as a moral, honest and credible person, then surely Robert Pridy must possess credible and verifiable documentation and references to support his allegations against Moreno.

To Date: Robert Priddy has not provided a scintilla of credible and verifiable documentation and references to support his claims that Moreno submitted Ex-Devotee’s and his website links to “pornography websites”. Therefore:

Gerald Moreno: “Robert Priddy has tried to blacken my character in innumerable ways, all without the slightest substance. However, among his dirty tricks is to claim that I posted on a porn site to get my site listed! Of course I never did post anything on any porno site. Robert Priddy claims to know this…he could not defend it legally, nor dozens of other direct wilful and highly defamatory untruths he has leveled against me.”

Robert Priddy’s arguments against Moreno can be mirrored back at him.

Robert Priddy Cites True Believer M. Alan Kazlev

It is 100% true that Robert Priddy’s primary Anti-Sai webpage was indexed on porn sites because Priddy paid to get his Anti-Sai Site listed on SeekInsider.com (which is a no longer existent, pay-per-click Search Engine) under the Category: “World Wide Sex Com – World Wide Sex Directory – World Wide Sex” (View Google Cache)! Guess Robert Priddy did not have the foresight to see that by listing his website on a World Wide Sex Directory, porn sites would index his site for content! Of course, none of this is surprising considering that Robert Priddy is an LSD Advocate who is thoroughly obsessed with genital oilings and relishes projecting his homoerotic fantasies onto Moreno.

SeekInsider.com was not a “pornography website” and Moreno never (ever) claimed it was. Attempting to bolster the absurd argument that Moreno claimed seekinsider.com was a “pornography website”, Robert Priddy cited True-Believer, New Age Advocate and Reincarnator M. Alan Kazlev against Moreno and said:

See quotes from independent M. Alan Kazlev’s site, as follows:-

Priddy’s material on porn sites:
Seekinsider.com is a pay-per-click search engine. You cannot just link your site on them. You have to pay for it. Priddy payed to have his site listed there under the category: ‘World Wide Sex Com – World Wide Sex Directory – World Wide Sex’ (look at the title on the very top of the page and some of the content on the page).

M. Alan Kazlev: “So what? Anyone can list anyone else’s site on these sort of porn sites. Why would Priddy – a qualified academic – post a link to his public website on a porn site? On the other hand, this seems like just the thing one of his defamers would do in order to try to smear him.”

Alan Kazlev (the alleged credible and reliable reference that Robert Priddy cited against Moreno) is a true-believer, promoter and endorser of: Integral Transformation, Integral Metaphysics, Reincarnation, Spirit Possession, Trolls, UFOs, Aliens, Alternate Realities, Cosmic Redemption, Planetary Buddhas, Avataric Gurus, Psychic Powers, Devas, Earth Spirits, Elementals, the Occult, Kundalini, Astrology, Karma, Auras, Astral Bodies, Astral Planes, Astral Beings, Geomancy, Theta Magic, Natal Charts, Samskaras, various New Age philosophies, etc.

Alan Kazlev claimed that Ramana Maharshi is his “sadguru” and that Sri Aurobindo and Mother Mirra are his “gurus”. Futhermore, Alan Kazlev ranted about his past lives on his website, claiming past life associations with Ancient Rome, Atlantis and Ancient Greece. Alan Kazlev claimed he lived past lives as a Polish Kabbalist, a German Soldier and a 19th Century English gentleman-scholar, philosopher theologian and naturalist raised as a British Israelite. Alan Kazlev stated he reincarnates two to three times a century and was “exiled” to Earth (apparently from another planet) to help in the spiritual transformation of the entire Earth (Reference).

It has since come to light that Alan Kazlev is a grungy guy who loves to drool over images of a “pornographic kind” (using Robert Priddy’s moral standards) and wrote two cyberpunk articles replete with filthy speech and sexually explicit material. See:

Robert Priddy has yet to say one word about Alan Kazlev’s penchant to tell raunchy and pornographic stories about erect penises, wanton sex and obscene references to women as being “cunts”.

It is very amusing that Robert Priddy (a trasher and basher of “superstition” and “superstitious beliefs”) is citing a New Age believer as a credible, reliable, reputable and noteworthy “reference” against Gerald Joe Moreno. What does this say about Robert Priddy? Robert C. Priddy is obviously a very gullible and naive person who is willing to give credence to New Age beliefs by claiming that New Age followers are intelligent, honest, credible and reliable individuals who are worthy of being referenced by him (a self-professed “scholar” not given to superstition or superstitious beliefs)!

Alan Kazlev fully admitted (several times) that he did not have the “time”, “patience” or “inclination” to research the Sai Controversy for himself and simply “skimmed” through information Moreno sent him and relied on Anti-Baba critics to better inform him. This is not surprising after reading Alan Kazlev’s Disrespectable Me bio.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Alan Kazlev & Robert Priddy misrepresented Moreno’s words about seekinsider.com being a “pornography website”. Moreno never made that claim.

Robert Priddy Continues His Homosexual Fantasizing About Moreno

robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/gerald-morenos-false-claim-about-porn-site-postings
Robert Priddy: “He denies he was subjected to the sexual molestation – which was clearly ‘grooming’ for possible sex through invasive oiling ‘of the lower stomach’ and which he has himself described on his website and discussed with Basava Premanand. Moreno has most extraordinarily also – defended Sai Baba while believing him to be a sexual abuser.”

As one can see, Homoerotic Fantasizer Robert Priddy is still claiming (like a pervert and sexual deviant psychologically obsessed with homosexual sex) that Sathya Sai Baba approached Moreno in a sexual way and that the guru “invasively oiled” Moreno on the lower stomach. 100% total and blatant untruths!

Obviously, Robert Priddy is projecting “what can only be a deep unconscious projection of his own negative ‘shadow’ personality” and latent homosexuality onto Moreno. Robert Priddy relies on his groin and on his latent homosexuality to make the argument that Moreno was “molested sexually” by Sathya Sai Baba. Robert Priddy cannot source his libels to any of Moreno’s known writings. Robert Priddy exemplifies the sleaze and slime that altogether embodies the Anti-Sai Movement.

Robert Priddy continually claims that Moreno defended Sathya Sai Baba when he believed the guru had sexually abused men. Moreno’s original arguments (all documented on his website) were not “defenses” of Sathya Sai Baba, but rather were objections to Ex-Devotee’s obvious and very disturbing smear tactics and crude behaviors (which forced Moreno to publicly question their integrity and credibility). Moreno repeatedly encouraged Ex-Devotee’s to pursue their criminal allegations against Sathya Sai Baba along legal venues. Despite these facts, Robert Priddy ceaselessly cites Moreno’s transitional research between 2004-2005 regarding the Sai Controversy and his former belief that Alaya Rahm was credible. Moreno has subsequently retracted his comments about believing the sexual abuse allegations against Sathya Sai Baba. The sole reason why Moreno formerly believed the allegations was due to what he perceived as sincere and genuine accounts made by Alaya Rahm on the internet and in the Secret Swami documentary. Moreno retracted his former views due to the following major updates:

Despite Moreno’s repeated clarifications, Robert Priddy repeats himself ad nauseam like a brainless automaton, idly parroting his rhetoric in true “broken-record” fashion. Robert Priddy’s latest diatribes are examples of his lunacy at its very finest. Every despicable word in Priddy’s diatribes paint a perfect picture of his hysteria and reveals his deeply ingrained habit to withhold information and disseminate half-truths and whole-lies.

Robert Priddy And Legal Threats

robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/gerald-morenos-false-claim-about-porn-site-postings
Robert Priddy: “Since he is so incensed about those who claim this was illegal and abusive, why does he not sue anyone? He also claims against his better knowledge that I have threatened to sue him, which he cannot prove as it is not true. If I should, he threatens to counter sue immediately (using anal images to press home his point!). The fact is, he knows all too well he has no case in any court in the world. I would not waste the time and outlay with such a patently obvious case of a liar and inflamed hate merchant whose tricks are transparent to all but the most indoctrinated and truth-blind devotees of Sathya Sai Baba.”

Let us reference Robert Priddy’s claims on his Anti-Baba WordPress blog:

robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2008/06/17/outright-defenders-of-sexual-abuse-by-sathya-sai-baba
Robert Priddy: “His constant contrived spin tried to show the critics in the worst possible light, going to any length to assassinate their character in an unending array of ways that lawyers in three countries have opined as highly libellous, defamatory and actionable.”

Therefore, Robert Priddy strongly suggested (as Moreno claimed) that he and Ex-Devotees talked to lawyers (from three countries nonetheless) who “opined” that Moreno’s writings were “libelous”, “defamatory” and “actionable”. Despite getting these alleged opinions from anonymous lawyers from three countries, not even one Ex-Devotee has attempted to sue Moreno. This is probably due to the fact that Moreno would file a countersuit and Ex-Devotee’s proven defamations and libels would spell disaster and ruin for them.

Since Robert Priddy and Ex-Devotees ceaselessly claim that Moreno is “libeling” and “defaming” them and since they have already allegedly contacted lawyers from three countries who are allegedly willing to provide council to them, what is stopping Ex-Devotees from suing Moreno? Moreno’s guess is the “The Truth” is stopping them.

Robert Priddy’s Double Standards & Deceit

robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/gerald-morenos-false-claim-about-porn-site-postings
Robert Priddy: “Having no way to get at me with anything true or factual, Moreno has even reported that I am accused of sexual relations with Sai Baba, which is the height of absurdity as he certainly knows! I was never alone with Sai Baba as my wife always accompanied me in every single contact we had when I was 50 years old! The same dirty trick was used by the blinded Sai supporter Bon Giovanni on a public website against me, posting an anonymous letter packed with lies about me being a sexual abuser of visiting Sai students, which were easily refuted by me. This is the nature of the response to me and others who have simply referred all the testimonies of sexual abuse by many former young male followers of Sai Baba.”

It does not matter what excuses, defenses, denials or refutations Robert Priddy gave or will give, his private interviews “MUST” be viewed in the exact manner as he views Moreno’s private interview.

  • Just as Robert Priddy denies Moreno’s first-hand account, one must similarly deny Robert Priddy’s first-hand account.
  • Just as Robert Priddy ignores Moreno’s claims of not being sexually molested by Sathya Sai Baba, one must similarly ignore Robert Priddy’s claims of not being sexually molested by Sathya Sai Baba.
  • Just as Robert Priddy concludes that Moreno is “too embarrassed” to talk about being “molested sexually” by Sathya Sai Baba, one must similarly conclude that Robert Priddy is “too embarrassed” to talk about being “molested sexually” by Sathya Sai Baba.

Needless to say, Moreno does not believe that Robert Priddy was molested by Sathya Sai Baba. Rather, Moreno is attempting to show how Robert Priddy’s self-serving and irrational arguments could be mirrored back at him and would implicate him in the very same situation he tries to place Moreno.

Robert Priddy has never been able to refute or shake off similar accusations made against him by Leo Rebello. See: Leo Rebello’s $1,000,000 Legal Threat For Defamation Against Robert Priddy.

Why is it that Robert Priddy thinks he is perfectly entitled to cite Basava Premanand against Moreno but that Moreno cannot cite Leo Rebello against him? Why the double standards?

It is tiring to write such truisms, but Robert Priddy never tires of trying to extinguish fires with gasoline. He presumably hopes that magic formula will some day work. Robert Priddy and the truth are like oil and water. They don’t mix. Gerald Moreno’s output is well reasoned, fully referenced and strongly defended. Robert Priddy’s crusade is simply a mere cavil, a mere scarecrow, one of the last shifts of a desperate and feeble cause. A careful analysis of Robert Priddy’s articles reveals that his output is 2% substance and 98% twaddle and finger-pointing. No verifiable, credible or legal sources. No actual names from people who are currently alive. No nothing from know-nothing Robert Priddy!

The Bogus ‘Sai Petition’ On SaiPetition.net Against Sathya Sai Baba:

The SaiPetition.net website is an alleged online ‘petition’ that allows anyone with a negative opinion about Sathya Sai Baba to submit multiple signatures under multiple fake names.

The fraudulent Sai Petition calls for an official investigation of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and the Sathya Sai International Organization. The SaiPetition.net administrators falsely claimed that Sathya Sai Baba has been “charged” (when no legal charges have ever been filed against him) and made references to:

  • The Unesco Withdrawal (whose media release was removed from the Unesco website along with an official apology from Unesco expressing regret).
  • Alleged ‘Witnesses’.
  • The Alleged Hislop Letters.
  • A solicitation for Barry Pittard’s Anti-Sai conspiracy blog.
  • References to various media investigations (which Anti-Sai Activists boasted on accomplishing themselves).
  • Reference to British MP Tony Colman’s question in Parliament (from which nothing ever resulted).
  • A letter to Prime Minister Tony Blair, which he responded to and said (in part): ‘However, as I understand, FCO Ministers explained to you last year, there is little the Government can do. Those who have complaints against Sai Baba will have to take them to the Indian police. No formal charges have been brought against him.’
  • Reference to the U.S. State Department Warning, which was purposely altered, leaving out the pivotal word ‘unconfirmed’ in reference to ‘reports of inappropriate sexual behavior by a prominent local religious leader at an ashram or religious retreat located in Andhra Pradesh’. The US State Department warning was officially removed on July 17th 2007.
  • Reference to the June 6th 1993 Police Shootings. The petition administrators shamelessly lied and claimed that the four assailants (who viciously stabbed to death Sathya Sai Baba’s 2 aides and seriously injured two others) were ‘executed’ by the police while Sathya Sai Baba ‘passively stood by’. There is no proof, documentation or verifiable testimonies to support these absurd claims and bold-faced untruths.

SaiPetition.net, created by JuST and written by Arthur Klein, hosting an Online Petition against Sathya Sai Baba has pointed fingers at unnamed officials in the Sai Organization and complained that they have “failed in their moral and compassionate duty” regarding allegations of sexual impropriety leveled against Sathya Sai Baba. After boldly making this claim, SaiPetition.net miserably failed in their “moral and compassionate duty” by allowing anyone to submit multiple signatures (using multiple fake names) against Sathya Sai Baba without any sort of verification process whatsoever

What would you think if someone made sexual abuse allegations against you and created an online petition that allowed anyone to submit multiple signatures under multiple fake names? The negative and criminal allegations against you may never be traced to a real person and you must bear the stain of accusation without recourse. You would protest this outright. But SaiPetition.net thinks there is absolutely nothing wrong with this type of behavior despite their “moral” obligations and dedication to the “truth”. This is reprehensible by all standards and should be remedied immediately.

Legality, Flawed Submission Policies & Unverifiable Signatures:

On October 9th 2004, SaiPetition.net changed its flawed submission policy and finally acknowledged the issues of abuse and not using full names. In the two years the petition was online, no one had the conscience or integrity to screen submissions for abuse or failure to use full names. Although the full-name policy was started on October 9th 2004, the SaiPetition.net website is still keeping the invalid signatures (using one name, initials or a partial name) and is still accepting partial name entries.

Prior to October 9th, 2004, submissions were instantly accepted with no verification process whatsoever (very much akin to signing an online guestbook or posting a comment on a public forum). See For Yourself. After Moreno pointed out the Sai Petition’s dishonest and easily exploitable submission method, they resorted to the equally flawed method of “screening” submissions before accepting them (a process Moreno has conclusively shown does not work). Click Here to view a screen-capture with multiple, fake submissions (names: Joe Apodaca, Isaac Nivek and Kevin Iassa) that Moreno made, which were screened and accepted into the petition.

SaiPetition.net erroneously claimed that the petition signatures are "100% Legal" (a bold-faced untruth). In order for any legal petition to be legitimate, it must record verifiable information, such as:

  • A verifiable full name.
  • A verifiable address.
  • A verifiable signature.

SaiPetition.net has no way of verifying signatures as legal and valid because they do not request an address or phone number and submissions can be made using fake e-mail addresses. Moreno was able to submit multiple fake signatures using multiple fake e-mail addresses to the petition (which were screened and accepted!). How legal and valid is that? Click here to view a screen-capture with the fake names Joe Apodaca, Joe M, JM and Isaac Nivek. Moreno has challenged SaiPetition.net to verify three recently “screened” submissions by: Ronnie Bartlett, UK; Sara Friedmann, France and Henry Sanders, USA. Apparently, the Sai Petition is not able to verify these 3 signatures that they screened and approved. This is highly indicative of deceit and dishonesty.

UPDATE: July 24th 2005: Even though Moreno very clearly stated that he made a fake submission using the name “Joe Apodaca”, Robert Priddy took Moreno’s fake submission and put it on his “Ex Office Bearers” page, using it as a first-hand account against Sathya Sai Baba. Needless to say, there was no way for Priddy to contact “Joe Apodaca” (as a fake email was used) but the signature was regarded as authentic without any sort of verification and put up on his page as a legitimate signature. I think this speaks volumes for the so-called “integrity” of the petition’s “signatures”. Click Here to see a screencapture to Robert Priddy’s site and his use of an openly faked signature to promote his Anti-Sai Agenda. Click Here to view the google cache. Information Purposely Suppressed On The Sai Petition:

The SaiPetition.net webmaster (out of his own mouth) admitted to purposely suppressing information on the bogus Sai Petition and said:

“The JuST petition working group, in consultation with a dozen of the other original signatories in the JuST group, seriously considered the status of exposé dealings with the FBI and the CBI and found that the initiatives taken towards these bodies by various exposé activists have not so far proven effective. No documentation of replies, nor any public statement concerning Sathya Sai Baba or the accusations against him, have been made available anywhere by either the FBI in the USA or the CBI in India. Mentioning this in the international petition would therefore have been counter-productively unconvincing to any serious actors and agencies in the legal and human rights field. The same applies to the High Court judgement in India, where the charges were rejected as invalid, on the grounds that they were made by a person other than any of the injured parties. Documentation of all this only proves unadvised and incorrect procedure on behalf of the injured parties, which the JuST group considered a bad advertisment for the credibility of the petition to authorities around the world.” (Ref)

Here we have a clear admission that the Sai Petition purposely withheld information from the general public due to concerns that the information would have been “counter-productively unconvincing to any serious actors and agencies in the legal and human rights field” and “documentation of all this only proves unadvised and incorrect procedure on behalf of the injured parties, which the JuST group considered a bad advertisment for the credibility of the petition to authorities around the world”. How deceptive, dishonest and crooked is that?

SaiPetition.net: Does Anyone Believe and Support Them?

JuST (Just Seekers of Truth) addressed the Sai Petition to:

“All governments, human rights institutions, all religious and spiritual leaders, NGOs, politicians and official functionaries, and the media organizations of all countries.”

Nevertheless, despite the Sai Petition being online since 2002 (and being posted on every single Anti-Sai website on the internet) no one belonging to Governments, Human Rights Institutions, Media Organizations or NGO’s have verified the signatures on the bogus Sai Petition. Despite the Sai Petition being addressed to all of these official organizations and people, there is not even one verifiable signature from any person claiming to be a Politician, an Official Functionary, a Religious Leader or a Spiritual Leader. No one is willing to back up the bogus Sai Petition by signing it.

SaiPetition.net: Altering Submissions: Dishonesty in Action:

JuST’s Sai Petition signatures are not legal despite their misleading claims that the petition signatures are legal. On SaiPetition.net, they stated:

“…and who wish the responsible persons be made accountable through proper legal process, to please sign this petition…This Petition is for the benefit of the general public and will be sent to any relevant authority that may forward the Petition…”

Online Petitions are not legal for several reasons:

  1. Signature verification is next to impossible.
  2. A single person can submit numerous signatures under numerous names and email addresses.
  3. There are no international Initiative and Referendum laws that govern online petitions.

Randi Godager and the SaiPetition.net Administrator asserted that the petition signatures are “fully and 100% legal”. This is dishonest and a lie. The fact that Moreno was able to make multiple submissions proves that signatures can easily be faked. How valid and legal is that?

However, for arguments sake, let us assume that the petition signatures are legal. If any signature was altered, such an action would be illegal, in violation of the Initiative and Referendum laws and punishable by law. SaiPetition.net alters the signatures! If you go SaiPetition.net, and look for the name “Laim Ekaf” (which spells “Fake Mail” backwards), you will see that there is only a name with no comment. However, if you click here to view the altered submission, you will see that on the original submission there was a comment in Dutch attached to it that was removed by SaiPetition.net! Not only is this inappropriate and dishonest, if this Sai Petition was legal, this would be illegal activity! This from people who demand legal recourse against Sathya Sai Baba.

Furthermore, the following signatures were altered:

  • “Jorge, Mexico signed the petition” was changed to “Jorge Reyesvera, Mexico signed the petition”.
  • “raaid, Pakistan signed the petition” was changed to “raaid iqbal, Pakistan signed the petition”.
  • “Rajkumar Subramnaian from UK” was changed to “Rajkumar Subramnaian from India.
  • “christophe bouity” was changed to “christophe boity.

Why are the signatures being altered? Why aren’t we told that submissions are being altered? Who is altering them? What else are we not being told about the petition signatures?

If you go saipetition.net (click View Signatures then click on Show First 700 Signatures, scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the 23rd signature up) you will see that Robert Priddy claimed he was devoted to Sathya Sai Baba from 1983 to 2002. Or, you can click here to view a screen capture. His wife, Reidun Priddy, was devoted to Sathya Sai Baba from 1983 to 2000 (in other words, Reidun Priddy left Sai Baba 2 years prior to Robert Priddy).

If we are to believe Robert Priddy’s signature information on SaiPetition.net (after all, Robert Priddy made the submission himself), he claimed that he was still devoted to Sathya Sai Baba in 2002. However, if you go to http://home.hetnet.nl/~ex-baba/engels/witnesses/robert.html, you will see that this article is dated March 10th, 2001. At that time Robert Priddy was no longer a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba. However, according to SaiPetition.net, Robert Priddy claimed he was a devotee in 2002. Did Robert Priddy make that submission? Or did someone else make it for him?

It is also significant to note that Alexandra Nagel (an Anti-Sai Activist) told Moreno that she had “no clue as to how it happened that on the petition it is said that I was a devotee in 2000. That simply is not true” (Ref). On SaiPeitition.net, Alexanda Nagel’s signature stated she was devoted to Sathya Sai Baba “briefly in 2000”. Where did this comment come from when Alexandra Nagel claimed she did not make it?

Signature 145 was allegedly made by “Sekharji”, who was the webmaster for the website sekharji.org. On the Sai Petition, Sekharji allegedly claimed that he visited Sathya Sai Baba in 1946 & 1949. The only problem with this claim is that Sekharji was born in 1959 (Refs: 0102). Since Sekharji disappeared from the guru scene many years ago, it appears someone submitted a fake signature using his name.

SaiPetition.net: Where Did The Signatures Come From?

On the newer petition at SaiPetition.net created in June of 2004 (the Original Petition was created in 2002), if you scroll to the bottom of the petition and work your way up, you will notice the first 758 submissions do not have dates attached to them. Only the most recent 51 posts have a date. When Moreno wrote this article, there were only 809 submissions on SaiPetition.net. Where did the 758 posts (with no dates) come from? The answer is that most of the submissions were duplicated from the Original Petition page (which has subsequently been deleted). SaiPetition.net (in an act of desperation) removed the Original Petition page in a deceitful attempt to prevent people from verifying the errors Moreno pointed out on it. Click Here to see the exact duplicate (text version) of the Original Petition, along with it’s numerous inconsistencies. Seeing is believing.

The Grim Reality: Anyone Can Submit a Fake Signature:

The grim reality is that anyone can submit multiple fake signatures to the Sai Petition. Don’t believe it? Go to the Online Sai Petition Page, use a believable fake e-mail address, a believeable fake name and a fake profile. Say anything you want to say and click “submit”. Wait a few days and see what happens (Please Note: Your comments must be negative or they will be not be accepted!).

Consequently, anyone that is Anti-Sai Baba, can submit as many fake submissions as they choose (using as many fake email addresses they can think up). As a matter of fact, Moreno did it himself. The names used were: “Joe M, JM, Joe Apodaca” for Sept. 27 and “Kevin Iassa, Isaac Nivek” for Sept. 28. As expected, SaiPetition.net deleted “Joe M” and “JM” from the petition. Click here to view these submissions that were deleted. Any group that strives for “honesty, sincerity, decency, truthfulness and accountability”, should know better than putting up a bogus Online Petition, claiming it is 100% legal, accepting signatures that cannot be verified and providing a forum that can be used and abused by dishonest people (which come a dime-a-dozen in the Anti-Sai Movement).

On the very same day Moreno contacted the Sai Petition webmaster about his concerns about the bogus Sai Petition, they closed down the Original Petition page. Their closing comment can be viewed here. The Original Petition was removed so no one could verify Moreno’s claims firsthand. However, Moreno made a full catalog of screen captures to the Original Petition. Click Here to see the exact duplicate (text version) to the Original Petition, along with it’s numerous inconsistencies.

It is baffling that these Just Seekers of Truth tell so many lies. If you view Moreno’s page about the inherent dishonesty of the Original Petition page, he enumerates five bold-faced lies told by the unnamed “Sub-Administrator” (whomever that is, as no real and verifiable name is given).

SaiPetition.net: Duplicate Posts:

To conclusively show that something suspicious and fraudulent is going on at SaiPetition.net, find the submission by “Babu Sharma”. It reads:

“Need for huge people movement or revolution against Sai Baba. A person or people can’t able to stand up and blow the whistle against Sai Baba, because Sai Baba has too much religious, social and political power. Indian state police, government, religious organization and million stupid devotees are Sai Baba’s protectors and defenders. To put Sai Baba in justice or jail, People’s movement and revolution must require. Indeed it is reality and true. People scare and keep shot their mouth rather than get kill by some stupid.”

There was another post at SaiPetition.net by “sanjeev biradar” (dated Sept. 27th, which was subsequently deleted) that read:

“Need for huge people movement or revolution against Sai Baba. A person or people can’t able to stand up and blow the whistle against Sai Baba, because Sai Baba has too much religious, social and political power. Indian state police, government, religious organization and million stupid devotees are Sai Baba’s protectors and defenders. To put Sai Baba in justice or jail, People’s movement and revolution must require. Indeed it is reality and true. People scared and keep shut their mouths rather than get killed.” (Ref)

As you can see, the posts are identical except for a few words in the last sentence. The person who made these submissions used completely different names (Babu Sharma and Sanjeev Biradar). This fully supports Moreno’s claim that people are making multiple submissions under multiple fake names on the Sai Petition.

Click Here to view multiple posts made by Reinier van de Sandt.

If this type of activity happened on a Pro-Sai Site, one can be certain that Anti-Sai Activists would be gnashing their teeth and raising a huge cry. JuST has some explaining to do. SaiPetition.net removed the post from Sanjeev Biradar only after Moreno pointed it out. They don’t even care to review the submissions before accepting them.

Furthermore, there are two posts (one from a person claiming to be “George Miles from New Zealand” and another post from a person claiming to be “Arati Rai from Nepal”) that refer to Sathya Sai Baba as the “SARS virus”. How many people do you know who refer to Sathya Sai Baba as the “SARS virus”? Is this just coincidence? Moreno doesn’t think so.

SaiPetition.net: Anti-Sathya Sai Baba Spammers?

How about Anti-Sai spammers? On Moreno’s page about the Original Petition, he discussed how many posts are, in his opinion, from the same person. As a matter of fact, there are recent posts on SaiPetition.net that have startling similarities to the posts Moreno did an analysis on. Click Here to read Moreno’s analysis of the petition signatures. This proves that something very suspicious is happening on SaiPetition.net.

Reinier Van Der Sandt admitted using multiple, fake names on a Yahoo Group (he even had imaginary conversations with himself between his fake Yahoo identities). If the webmaster for the largest Ex-Baba domains on the internet used incognito, fake identities on a Yahoo Group, who is to say that he is not doing the same on SaiPetition.net? Click Here to read about Reinier Van Der Sandt’s admission to using fake names.

Moreno was spammed with hate mail from a person using anonymous, proxy IP’s. Again, if a person will resort to such drastic steps to cover-ip his/her identity, who is to say they are not doing the same on the bogus Sai Petition? Click Here to visit my hate e-mails page.

On April 3rd 2007, Freestone Wilson agreed to hand over the QuickTopic board FE68KidtskS (on which Ex-Devotees often posted) to Gerald Joe Moreno. Moreno promptly upgraded the board to the Pro-Version (giving him access to all the IPs). Between Sanjay Dadlani, UsedByBaba and Tony O’Clery, they used no less than seventy nine (79) fake names, even attempting to pass themselves off as females, Sai devotees, Sai proponents and people from other countries! See Moreno’s article: Shocking Behavior From Ex-Devotees Of Sathya Sai Baba On The QuickTopic Forum. If Ex-Devotees engage in this type of deceptive and secretive behavior on public forums, who is to say they are not doing the same on the bogus Sai Petition?

SaiPetition.net: Added Submissions:

Perhaps the most disturbing fact about the bogus Sai Petition are the added signatures that were supposedly taken from the Original Petition page, but were NOT listed on the Original Petition page. Where did these added signatures come from?

The first 700 submissions on SaiPetition.net are almost identical to the first 700 submissions on the Original JuST Petition. However, while comparing them, Moreno found some startling dissimilarities. Some posts (mostly pro-Sai Baba) were discarded on SaiPetition.net and twenty four new submissions were mysteriously added. None of the 24 added signatures came from the Original Petition. Since these added signatures are shown as originating within the sequence of the Original Petition, one can’t help to wonder where they came from. The submissions not found on the Original Petition, but listed on SaiPetition.net, are:

  1. Abdallah from Australia
  2. Albutiu Anda from Romania
  3. Alejandro from Argentina
  4. Anish Rathod from the UK
  5. Babu Surati from India
  6. Dan Dumitrescu from Roumania
  7. Debora Lewis Montserrat from France
  8. Diyanat from India
  9. Edwin Reu Rings from Netherlands
  10. Erika Brioschi from the UK
  11. Evgeni from Russia
  12. Fekre from Egypt
  13. Jeannot from Belgium
  14. Jenny Knol from Netherlands
  15. Lello from Italy
  16. Licia from Italy
  17. Livio from Italy
  18. Nirav from USA
  19. Praveen from India
  20. Ratikant from India
  21. Srimathi from India
  22. Suresh from Australia
  23. Samira from Iran
  24. Xortay from USA

SaiPetition.net: Plagiarizing Moreno’s Web-Page Meta-Data:

Click Here to view a Google screen capture that shows a partial section where SaiPetition.net plagiarized Gerald Moreno’s page meta-data verbatim (in a desperate attempt to outrank his website). Click Here to view Moreno’s Petition Analysis page, from which SaiPetition.net plagiarized Moreno’s meta-data. On SaiPetition.net’s main index page, their meta-data description is:

“Critical Analysis of both online petitions against Sathya Sai Baba, of Puttaparthi India, and Guru to millions. Analysis is of merged petitions from the Original Petition and the newer petition at SaiPetition.net by Just, Just Seekers of Truth, and Arthur Klein.”

Compare this to Moreno’s meta-data description, which states:

“Critical Analysis of both online petitions against Sathya Sai Baba, of Puttaparthi India, and Guru to millions. Analysis is of merged petitions from the Original Petition and the newer petition at SaiPetition.net and shows the inherent dishonest, unjust and propagandizing methods employed by Just, Just Seekers of Truth, and Arthur Klein.”

This highlights SaiPetition.net’s desperation. They plagiarize Moreno’s web-page meta-data in a desperate attempt to outrank his site. The meta-tags they used are in the exact same order as the ones listed on Moreno’s page. Shameless thieves! Click here to view a screen capture to SaiPetition’s source code to see their desperation in action.

SaiPetition.net: Suspicions Confirmed: Pro-Sai Posts Deleted:

While making this page, the following post appeared on SaiPetition.net:

“Priya Reddy, India signed the petition on October 1. 2004. Period as a follower: 1988-Present: Sai is a God. He has healed me and my father of cancer. We owe him our lives. You all see only bad. You do not see his power and glory. Vibuthi and amruth manifest from our aunty’s house. This power does not belong to ordinary human. It is divine. No one else can do these things.”

Moreno wondered if SaiPetition.net would allow this post to stay on their petition website. As Moreno suspected, the post was removed the very next day. Why is it that SaiPetition.net removes honest and positive submissions and keeps vile and defamatory submissions? SaiPetition.net may argue that it goes against the premise of their “petition” purposes (and we know what these “purposes” are), but Moreno has already shown how this so-called “petition” is not a petition at all. It is an Anti-Sai “guestbook”. This type of “soviet style” control and behavior contradicts JuST’s claim to furthering a “two way and sincere interface with the public”. As one can see, this is unequivocally insincere, dishonest and one way!

Furthermore, why didn’t Arthur Klein (the alleged author of the petition) submit an official signature to the petition? If you view the signature that is attributed to him on SaiPetition.net, it corresponds to post number 83 on the Original Petition. If you go to the Original Petition, you will see that post 83 is not a signature but a post about spamming (this post comes after 12 voided lines). There are only two posts by Arthur Klein on the Original Petition (796 and 83) and both are not signatures. One is a comment to 2 people about using their full names, and the other is comment that talked about the petition: “…Even though the spamming has caused us undue problems it has helped to further expose our view.” If Arthur Klein wrote the Petition, why didn’t he officially sign it? His comment about spamming is not seen until the 83rd post. There is a strong suspicion that “Arthur Klein” may be a pseudonym for Dave Lyons (who happens to share the exact same email address, as confirmed by WhoIs).

Do Terrorist Organizations Support The Sai Petition?

On May 27th 2007, the SaiPetition.net administrators published the following submission and comments on the Sai Petition (click here for the screencap):

Osama Binladen, Afganistan signed the petition on May 27. 2007.
Period as a follower: – Position in S.S.Org: –

NOTE FROM SAI PETITION ADMINISTRATION – THE ABOVE SUBMISSION FROM AN ALLEGING AL QUEDA PAKISTANSI TERROR ORGANISATION IN U.K. – FROM IP 82.35.154.50 (WITH A BOGUS E-MAIL ADDRESS) – HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE LONDON METROPOLITAN POLICE FOR THEM TO INVESTIGATE. THE SENDER USING THE NAME OF OSAMA BIN LADEN ALSO ADDED THE FOLLOWING COMMENT:

“i am like all of u here who have commented i also do not like the man. all of u have inspired me.thanks, people like u help people like me!xxxx”

FINAL NOTE, OF COURSE THE THE SAI PETITION ADMINISTRATION AND THE JuST GROUP MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT IN ANY WAY SUPPORT OSAMA BIN LADEN OR ANY SUCH ACTIVITIES WHATEVER. – :

Are “Al Queda Pakistani Terror Organisations in the UK” supporting Anti-Sai Activists and their bogus Sai Petition? Apparently, the Sai Petition Administrator’s seem to think so.

To those possessing sober intellects, it is apparent that this post is one of the more obviously faked posts that plague the bogus ‘Sai Petition’. My thanks to the Sai Petition administrators for making this post public and showing how easy it is for people to submit fake submissions, under fake names and with fake emails.

Sai Petition – In Conclusion:

In conclusion, it seems that SaiPetition.net has fallen into a very sad state with their fraudulent ‘Sai Petition’. Consequently, it is recommended that SaiPetition.net find a more legitimate, legal and honest way of obtaining verifiable signatures for their petition purposes. Although SaiPetition.net stated that many Anti-Sai Activists do not resort to “propaganda” (Moreno is assuming that SaiPetition.net is also referring to itself) the Sai Petition speaks for them to the contrary of their claims.

In order to do some damage control and prevent the valid perception that a majority of the petition signatures are fake, SaiPetition.net needs to come forward with clean hands and have the petition signatures independently verified. Various members of the general public have expressed increasing suspicion over SaiPetition.net’s adamant refusal to have their petition signatures verified. Furthermore, concerned citizens feel that independent media organizations (who have never been affiliated with the Anti-Sai movement) should be utilized to verify the signatures. There is now proof that Anti-Sai Activists do not verify the names or claims made on their deceptive Sai Petition. Rather, they accept negative submissions made under faked names and disperse this information as the truth. This is reprehensible by all means and must be investigated and remedied.
